Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with six checks at 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,573 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,573 m of the 2,790 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 444 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Stuttgart Airport, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 07, the crew prepared for departure, taking into account the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 15 °C and winds blowing at 10 kt from a direction of 19 °. The aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 151 kt, using 36% of the 1,086-meter runway.
As the aircraft climbed away from Stuttgart, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 36,940 ft in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 114 nautical miles. The climb phase was followed by a level cruise, which started overhead Flieden, Germany, and lasted for 16 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 100 nautical miles. The crew then initiated a descent, which began 2 miles east of Betheln, Germany, and continued until the aircraft reached an altitude of 3,010 ft. The descent phase was followed by a brief level cruise, which started 1 mile southeast of Rumpel, Germany, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23 at Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport was initiated from the northeast, with the aircraft heading 231.0 ° at 4 nautical miles and 1,263 ft above ground level. The landing was executed with a threshold speed slightly above the target at 139 kt, and a touchdown distance of 447 meters, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed was a little fast at 131 kt, but the touchdown rate was good at -198 fpm. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, a process that took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 342 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 3,269 kg of fuel during the journey, which lasted for 72 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 23 at EDDH Hamburg Helmut Schmidt Airport with a threshold height that met expectations. The approach quality was good, with a heading of 231.0° from the north east at 4 nautical miles and 1,263 feet above ground level. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 139 knots, which may have contributed to a touchdown speed of 131 knots, a little faster than desired. However, the touchdown rate of -198 feet per minute was good, indicating a controlled descent.
The aircraft's touchdown distance of 447 meters was within acceptable limits, and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.1 meters from the centreline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 11°C and a wind of 8 knots at 300°, resulted in a crosswind of 8 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance of 1,496 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway length, was reasonable given the conditions.
The rollout phase was notable for its excellent alignment, with the aircraft staying on course. Overall, the landing performance was good, with a score of 98.8%. While there were some minor deviations from the ideal, the pilot's skills and the aircraft's capabilities ensured a safe and controlled touchdown.
