Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,229 m of the approach.
Plan view — the full 1,229 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 203 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Douglas DC-3 started at EGPC Wick Airport in Highland, Scotland. The taxi from the parking to the runway took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nm. The departure roll was on runway 31, and the takeoff distance was 484 meters, which was 38% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 86 knots.
During the climb, the aircraft started 1 mile northwest of EGPC Wick and climbed from 971 ft asl to 3,309 ft asl, covering 8 nm in 5 minutes. The local weather during this phase indicated a temperature of 7°C, with a wind speed of 20 knots coming from 290°, resulting in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 19 knots.
After reaching the cruise level, the flight continued for 2 minutes covering 6 nm before starting the descent 11 miles southeast of EGZQ Flotta Isle Airport in the Orkney Islands. The descent took the aircraft from 3,284 ft asl to 1,813 ft asl, covering 5 nm in 2 minutes.
The landing was on runway 27 at EGPA Kirkwall Airport, with a runway length of 1,229 meters. The height at threshold was 24 ft agl, and the speed at threshold was 71 knots. The touchdown occurred 200 meters from the threshold at a speed of 66 knots, with a VSI of -295 ft/m. The local weather at the time showed a temperature of 5°C, with a wind speed of 16 knots coming from 310°, resulting in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 12 knots. The total landing distance was 680 meters, which was 55% of the runway.
After landing, the taxiing from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 37 nm, and the flight duration was 33 minutes. The aircraft used 106 kg of fuel during the flight.
