MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Departure
Make small rudder corrections against a point at the far end to hold the centreline.
What happened: During the ground roll you drifted 22 ft off the runway centreline.
Watch for: Watch runway alignment against the centreline, correcting with small rudder inputs.
See Departure Roll
Arrival
Reduce power earlier on final to bleed speed back to 71 kt before crossing the threshold.
What happened: You crossed the threshold at 89 kt, 18 kt above the 71 kt target.
Watch for: Airspeed, targeting 71 kt at the threshold.
See Arrival Landing
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 11,485 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,442 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Benito Juárez International Airport (MMMX) in Ciudad de México, Mexico. This process took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 05L, with a takeoff distance of 3,997 feet, which accounted for 41% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
As the aircraft climbed out of the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 69°F and winds of 8 knots at 140°. The crosswind was 8 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started 1 mile northeast of the airport, where the aircraft climbed from 8,299 feet above sea level to 29,938 feet above sea level, an increase of 21,639 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 73 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 6 miles west of Zautla, Estado de Puebla, Mexico, and lasted for 117 minutes, covering a distance of 578 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent 11 miles northwest of Punta Pajaros Airport (MMUC) in Tulum, Estado de Quintana Roo, Mexico, descending from 29,660 feet above sea level to 27,172 feet above sea level, a decrease of 2,488 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started again 12 miles north of MMUC, lasting for 3 minutes, covering a distance of 18 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 21 miles southeast of Estancion Aeronaval Tulum (MMTU) in Estado de Quintana Roo, Mexico, descending from 26,611 feet above sea level to 2,144 feet above sea level, a decrease of 24,466 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 65 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started once more 7 miles northeast of Leona Vicario, Estado de Quintana Roo, Mexico, lasting for 10 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent 8 miles west of Alfredo V. Bonfil, Estado de Quintana Roo, Mexico, descending from 1,902 feet above sea level to 1,131 feet above sea level, a decrease of 771 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 12R at Cancún International Airport (MMUN) was made from the northwest, heading 124.0° at 3 nautical miles and 1,111 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 12R, which had a length of 11,485 feet, was successful, with the threshold height being slightly above target and the threshold speed being too high at 89 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 1,435 feet, with a touchdown speed of 77 knots, which was fast. The touchdown rate was excellent at -63 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 75°F.
The total landing distance was 2,700 feet, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area from the runway, taking 2 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 760 nautical miles, taking 189 minutes, and the aircraft used 1,147 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at MMUN Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún, achieving a score of 97.9%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 124.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,111 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on runway 12R, which has a length of 11,485 feet. The threshold height at 55 feet agl was slightly above the target, indicating a minor deviation in the aircraft's descent. However, the threshold speed was too high at 89 knots, suggesting that the pilot may have been able to make adjustments to achieve a more optimal speed.
The touchdown distance of 1,435 feet was considered good, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach and touch down within a reasonable distance from the threshold. The touchdown speed of 77 knots was, however, slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly longer rollout. The touchdown rate of -63 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's descent and maintain a stable approach.
The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 75°F.
The total landing distance of 2,700 feet was 24% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout and bring it to a stop within a short distance.
Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at MMUN Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún was a successful one, with the pilot demonstrating good control and precision throughout the approach and landing.
