Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,682 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,682 m of the 3,219 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 443 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KPDX Portland International Airport, a process that took 11 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 28L, with a takeoff distance of 1,569 meters, which accounted for 47% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 156 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius, a wind speed of 3 knots at 290 degrees, and a crosswind of 0 knots with a headwind of 2 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it began its enroute climb 1 mile east of Bridgeton, Oregon, and ascended from an altitude of 1,039 feet above sea level to 37,284 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,245 feet, in just 15 minutes and covering a distance of 127 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 6 miles north of the 42OR Shotgun Ranch Airstrip Post in Oregon and lasted for 30 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 628 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 14 miles west of Valle, Arizona, and the aircraft descended from an altitude of 37,007 feet above sea level to 2,398 feet above sea level, a decrease of 34,609 feet, in 25 minutes and covering a distance of 133 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 08 at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was made from the west, with the aircraft heading at 90 degrees and at an altitude of 1,267 feet above ground level, 4 nautical miles from the runway.
The landing on runway 08 at KPHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport was successful, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 130 knots, which was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -114 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4 meters from the centerline, but the runway rollout alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius.
The total flight distance was 897 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 80 minutes, during which the aircraft used 5,576 kilograms of fuel. The taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, achieving a high score of 99.2%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 90.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,267 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed smoothly, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 137 knots, which is within the acceptable range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's performance was satisfactory, with a touchdown distance of 443 meters, which is within the expected range. However, the touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly higher than the ideal speed, indicating that the pilots may have needed to apply more braking force to slow down the aircraft. The touchdown rate was smooth, at -114 feet per minute (fpm), which is a good indication of the aircraft's stability during landing.
One minor issue was observed during the landing, as the aircraft touched down slightly off-centerline, deviating by 4.0 meters from the runway centerline. This deviation may have been due to a slight misalignment of the aircraft's approach path or a minor error in the pilots' navigation.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 32°C, which is relatively warm. However, this did not appear to have any significant impact on the aircraft's performance during landing.
The total landing distance of 1,602 meters was 50% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilots were able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and bring it to a safe stop.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft performing well in terms of speed, distance, and alignment. However, the slight deviation from the centerline and the slightly high touchdown speed are areas for improvement that the pilots may need to address in future landings.
