MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,903 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 825 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question was operated by an FFX P180 aircraft, registration number 03 01. The aircraft departed from Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport (LGAV) on runway 03R, taking off after a 12-minute taxiing period that covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The takeoff distance was 741 meters, which accounted for 22% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 122 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions with a temperature of 20°C. The enroute climb started 1 mile southwest of Artemida, Attica, Greece, and reached an altitude of 9,988 feet above sea level (asl) after climbing 8,675 feet in 4 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which lasted 5 minutes and covered 5 nautical miles, starting 5 miles east of Nea Makri, Attica, Greece. However, this was short-lived, as the aircraft began another climb phase 5 miles west of Marmarion, Central Greece, Greece, reaching an altitude of 17,421 feet asl after climbing 7,420 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 7 minutes and covered 32 nautical miles, starting 11 miles east of Limin Mesoyaias, Attica, Greece. However, this was followed by a descent phase, which started 10 miles west of Ano Syros, South Aegean, Greece, and ended at an altitude of 2,992 feet asl after descending 14,460 feet in 8 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which lasted 5 minutes and covered 23 nautical miles, starting 4 miles northwest of Ano Syros, South Aegean, Greece. However, this was followed by another descent phase, which started 7 miles south of Mykonos, South Aegean, Greece, and ended at an altitude of 1,802 feet asl after descending 1,196 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34 at Mykonos Island National Airport (LGMK) was made from the south, heading 341.0° at 3 nautical miles and 1,403 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was made on runway 34, which had a length of 1,903 meters. The threshold height was excessively over target at 110 feet agl, while the threshold speed was well above target at 138 knots.
The touchdown point was 384 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 114 knots and a touchdown rate of -287 feet per minute (fpm), which was considered fair. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 16°C and a wind speed of 10 knots at 119°.
The total landing distance was 1,190 meters, which accounted for 63% of the runway length. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking area was less than 1 minute, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 100 nautical miles, taking 38 minutes, and the aircraft used 297 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft, FFX P180 03 01, successfully landed on runway 34 at LGMK Mykonos Island National Airport, achieving an overall score of 82.1%. The final approach to the runway was initiated from the south, with the aircraft heading 341.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,403 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 384 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a significant deviation from the target. However, the touchdown speed of 114 knots was within the acceptable range, indicating a well-executed landing. The touchdown rate of -287 feet per minute (fpm) was considered fair, suggesting that the aircraft could have been brought down more smoothly.
The threshold height at 110 feet agl was excessively above the target, indicating that the aircraft may have been too high during the final approach. Conversely, the threshold speed of 138 knots was significantly above the target, suggesting that the pilot may have been pushing the aircraft too hard during the approach.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 16°C and winds of 10 knots at 119°. The crosswind and tailwind components were both 7 knots, which may have contributed to the aircraft's deviation from the touchdown zone.
Despite the deviations from the target, the aircraft's runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was also excellent. The total landing distance of 1,190 meters was 63% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop safely within a reasonable distance. Overall, while there were some areas for improvement, the pilot's performance was satisfactory, and the landing was considered successful.
