Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,608 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,608 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 603 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 15 minutes and covered a distance of 4 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A320, departed from runway 31L at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (LHBP). The takeoff distance was 1,412 meters, which is 47% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 173 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 4°C, with a wind speed of 12 knots at a direction of 339°. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 10 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 2 miles east of Kispest, a suburb of Budapest, Hungary. The climb started from an altitude of 1,506 feet above sea level and reached a maximum altitude of 32,157 feet above sea level, an increase of 30,651 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 102 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase began overhead Bruck an der Leitha, a town in the state of Niederoesterreich, Austria. This phase lasted for 23 minutes and covered a distance of 316 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 1 mile north of Neuhof, a town in the state of Hessen, Germany. The descent started from an altitude of 31,800 feet above sea level and reached a minimum altitude of 1,650 feet above sea level, a decrease of 30,150 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 44 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) was made from the east, heading 250.0° at an altitude of 1,300 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway threshold. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 5°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots at a direction of 272°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 9 knots. The aircraft landed on runway 25L, which has a length of 3,984 meters. The threshold height was slightly above the target, but the threshold speed was good at 135 knots.
The touchdown point was 186 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 125 knots, which was good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -217 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 1,526 meters, which is 38% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 473 nautical miles, which was covered in 72 minutes. The aircraft used 795 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed on runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) with a score of 97.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,300 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft touched down on the runway at a speed of 125 knots, which was within the target range.
The touchdown point was located 186 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing spot. However, the touchdown speed was good, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control and stability throughout the landing process. The threshold height at 56 feet agl was slightly above the target, but this did not significantly impact the overall landing performance.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 5°C, with a wind speed of 10 knots from 272°. This resulted in a crosswind of 4 knots and a headwind of 9 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The total landing distance was 1,526 meters, accounting for 38% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot executed a smooth and controlled descent.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability after touchdown. Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft coming to a stop within a reasonable distance from the runway threshold. The score of 97.8% reflects the high level of proficiency and skill demonstrated by the pilot during this landing.
