MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Arrival
Reduce power earlier on final to bleed speed back to 132 kt before crossing the threshold.
What happened: You crossed the threshold at 135 kt, 3 kt above the 132 kt target.
Watch for: Airspeed, targeting 132 kt at the threshold.
See Arrival Landing
Every knot above Vref is stored kinetic energy, and energy stored at the threshold must be dissipated in ground effect before the aeroplane will stop flying. Because kinetic energy scales with the square of speed, the excess you must dissipate grows fast. At a 45-knot approach, five knots hot is over a tenth more speed and roughly a quarter more energy to get rid of in ground effect. This is why the fix is never in the flare. It was decided three miles earlier, on final, at the airspeed indicator.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,781 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 14 m short of the threshold. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Airbus A320-ceo taxied from the parking area to runway 26 at EBOS Oostende-Brugge International Airport in 3 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 26, the aircraft used 1,145 m of runway (41 % of the available length) and lifted off at 156 kt; ambient temperature was 23 °C with a wind of 14 kt from 270°, providing a 13 kt headwind and a 3 kt crosswind component.
Climb commenced overhead EBOS, ascending from 461 ft asl to 35,609 ft asl-a gain of 35,147 ft-in 18 minutes while traversing 123 nm.
Level cruise began 3 miles north of Rochefort and was maintained for 23 minutes, during which the aircraft covered 175 nm.
Descent started 1 mile north of Frahier-et-Chatebier, descending from 35,834 ft asl to 2,405 ft asl, a loss of 33,429 ft in 21 minutes and over a distance of 98 nm.
The final approach to runway 33 at LFSB EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg was executed from the southeast on a heading of 335.0° at 4 nm and 1,512 ft agl, followed by a further descent from 1,579 ft agl to 58 ft agl in 96 seconds, with the aircraft scoring on the stabilisation gates.
Landing on runway 33 was achieved with a threshold speed of 135 kt; touchdown occurred at 134 kt, 334 m down the runway, and the aircraft settled with a firm rate of minus 318 fpm, maintaining very good alignment; local conditions were 29 °C, wind 8 kt from 290°, a 6 kt headwind and a 6 kt crosswind.
Runway rollout alignment was very good, and the total landing distance recorded was 1,344 m, representing 48 % of the 2,781 m runway length.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area in 2 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 406 nm, lasted 68 minutes, and consumed 2,813 kg of fuel.
