Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 8,394 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,373 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, a Black Square Starship N45FL, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at KOSH Wittman Regional Airport. This process took 20 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The departure roll took place on runway 27, with the aircraft taking off after covering 3,541 feet, which was 63% of the runway's length. The liftoff speed was 103 knots.
As the aircraft climbed, it encountered local weather conditions of 80°F temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 162 degrees. The crosswind was 4 knots, while the tailwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started overhead WS17 Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and continued to an altitude of 33,216 feet above sea level, an increase of 32,035 feet from the initial altitude of 1,181 feet. This climb took 17 minutes and covered a distance of 54 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 3 miles east of the 9WN6 Medos Lake Delton Seaplane Base in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and lasted for 207 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 1,187 nautical miles. The enroute descent started 9 miles southeast of Bunkerville, Nevada, and took 14 minutes to descend from 32,890 feet to 2,995 feet above sea level, a decrease of 29,895 feet. This descent covered a distance of 61 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 19R at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport took place from the northeast, with the aircraft heading at 205.0 degrees. The aircraft was at an altitude of 879 feet above ground level and 2 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on runway 19R, which was 8,394 feet long. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was 109 knots. The touchdown distance was 1,373 feet, and the touchdown speed was 98 knots, both of which were good. The touchdown rate was also good at -185 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 10 feet from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 93°F temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 179 degrees. The crosswind was 2 knots, while the headwind was 3 knots. The total landing distance was 4,620 feet, which was 55% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking 4 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,308 nautical miles, and the flight took 214 minutes. The aircraft used 3,188 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft, Black Square Starship N45FL, successfully landed on runway 19R at KLAS Harry Reid International Airport with a high score of 98.8%. The final approach was initiated from the north-east, heading 205.0° at 2 nautical miles and 879 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft demonstrated good control and precision throughout the approach, ultimately touching down on the runway with a speed of 109 kt, which was within the acceptable threshold speed.
The touchdown distance of 1,373 feet was also within the expected range, indicating that the aircraft's descent and flare were well-executed. The touchdown speed of 98 kt was good, and the touchdown rate of -185 feet per minute (fpm) was also within the acceptable limits. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 10 feet from the centreline, which may require some adjustments to the aircraft's approach path or the pilot's technique.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 93°F and a wind speed of 4 kt from 179°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 kt, while the headwind component was 3 kt. These conditions were relatively calm and did not pose a significant challenge to the landing.
The total landing distance of 4,620 feet was 55% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, and the pilot maintained control of the aircraft throughout the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft demonstrated good handling and control characteristics.
