Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The rest of the report
Departing from Chicago O'Hare International Airport, the Boeing 737-MAX8 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took approximately 9 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. As the aircraft lined up on runway 10L, the local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 69°F and a gentle wind of 2 knots from 216°. The takeoff roll commenced, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 164 knots, utilizing 54% of the available runway length of 7,031 feet.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it passed overhead Schiller Park, Illinois, and continued to ascend to 37,006 feet above sea level, a gain of 35,396 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 153 nautical miles. The enroute climb phase was followed by a level cruise, which started 2 miles south of Owens Field Greencastle, Indiana, and lasted for 25 minutes, covering a distance of 222 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 5 miles southwest of Pineville, Kentucky, and continued to descend to 2,995 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,486 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 142 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 04 at Greenville Spartanburg International Airport was initiated, with the aircraft flying a heading of 44.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,161 feet above ground level.
The Boeing 737-MAX8 landed safely on runway 04, utilizing 37% of the available runway length of 10,985 feet. The touchdown distance was 751 feet, and the touchdown speed was 145 knots, slightly above the recommended threshold speed of 148 knots. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also satisfactory. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took approximately 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 546 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 6,866 pounds of fuel during the journey, which lasted for 90 minutes.
The Boeing 737-MAX8 touched down smoothly on runway 04 at KGSP Greenville Spartanburg International Airport, showcasing a high level of proficiency in the landing phase. The aircraft's approach quality was exceptional, with a precise alignment on the final approach course from the southwest, heading 44.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,161 feet above ground level. The good threshold height and speed of 148 knots at touchdown demonstrated a well-executed flare, allowing the aircraft to maintain a stable and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed of 145 knots was slightly above the optimal range, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -301 feet per minute. However, the touchdown distance of 751 feet was within acceptable limits, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating a high degree of precision in the pilot's control inputs. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 79°F and a calm wind of 0 knots at 359°, contributed to a straightforward landing operation.
The total landing distance of 4,107 feet, which accounted for 37% of the runway length, was within the expected range for a Boeing 737-MAX8. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating a high level of control and precision in the pilot's post-landing phase. Overall, the landing was scored at 99.2%, reflecting a high level of proficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures.
