Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,353 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 227 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Geneva Cointrin International Airport, taking 10 minutes and covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. Departure roll took place on runway 22, with the aircraft lifting off after a takeoff distance of 1,643 meters, which was 46% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 156 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots at a direction of 30 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 5 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting overhead the town of Vernier in Switzerland, where it climbed from an altitude of 2,457 feet above sea level to 38,013 feet above sea level, an increase of 35,556 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 110 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, starting overhead the town of Crepand in France, and lasted for 67 minutes, covering a distance of 469 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 2 miles southwest of Hawes in England, where it descended from an altitude of 37,276 feet above sea level to 4,822 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,454 feet in 20 minutes, covering a distance of 113 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 1 mile northeast of Glenmavis in Scotland, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles north of Kilsyth in Scotland, where it descended from an altitude of 4,430 feet above sea level to 1,311 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,119 feet in 5 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 23 at Glasgow International Airport was made from the northeast, with the aircraft heading 227.0 degrees at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 23, which had a length of 2,353 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 137 knots. However, the touchdown speed was a little fast at 137 knots, and the touchdown rate was heavy at -600 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 13.9 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 19.0 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 8 knots at a direction of 210 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 8 knots. The total landing distance was 1,173 meters, which was 50% of the runway length.
The flight then ended with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, taking 7 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 723 nautical miles, taking 130 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,591 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at EGPF Glasgow International Airport, but with some notable areas for improvement. The aircraft approached the runway from the north east, heading 227.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,276 feet above ground level. The final approach was executed with a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 137 knots.
However, the touchdown speed of 137 knots was slightly faster than ideal, which may have contributed to the heavy touchdown rate of -600 feet per minute. This could potentially put additional stress on the aircraft's landing gear and may require further attention from the pilots to achieve a smoother touchdown.
In terms of runway alignment, the aircraft touched down 13.9 meters off-centerline, which is a notable deviation. This misalignment may have been due to the crosswind component of 2 knots, but it still requires attention from the pilots to maintain a more accurate approach.
The total landing distance of 1,173 meters was 50% of the available runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the conditions. However, the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 19.0 meters from the centerline, which may indicate a slight loss of control during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was executed with some minor issues, but the pilots demonstrated a good understanding of the aircraft's performance and handling characteristics. With some adjustments to their approach and touchdown techniques, they can improve their scores and achieve a more precise and controlled landing.
