MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,352 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 632 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 29 at EPGD Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk, Poland. The takeoff distance was 748 meters, which accounted for 27% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 138 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 230 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The aircraft climbed to a height of 35,967 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,569 feet from the initial altitude of 1,398 feet. This climb took 26 minutes and covered a distance of 179 nautical miles.
After reaching the cruising altitude, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile north-east of Mildenitz in Germany. This phase lasted for 24 minutes and covered a distance of 164 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from a height of 35,995 feet above sea level to 2,404 feet above sea level, a decrease of 33,591 feet. This descent took 23 minutes and covered a distance of 142 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered another level cruise phase, this time starting 2 miles south-west of Lelystad in the Netherlands. This phase lasted for 6 minutes and covered a distance of 22 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 27 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was made from the east, with a heading of 267.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,285 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 27 at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was successful, with a touchdown point located 217 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 123 knots, which was a little fast, but the touchdown rate was good at -174 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 230 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,102 meters, which accounted for 33% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 514 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 88 minutes. The aircraft used 4,192 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at EHAM Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, achieving a score of 97.2%. The final approach to runway 27 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 267.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,285 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold speed that was well above the target at 138 knots. However, the touchdown point was 217 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating that the aircraft could have been landed slightly earlier. The touchdown speed of 123 knots was a little fast, but the touchdown rate of -174 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 10°C, with a wind speed of 5 knots from a direction of 230°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 4 knots. These conditions did not appear to have significantly impacted the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,102 meters was 33% of the available runway length of 3,352 meters. This indicates that the aircraft had sufficient runway remaining to safely stop after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, suggesting that the aircraft was well under control during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and handling characteristics. However, there were some minor issues with the touchdown point and speed, which could be addressed in future landings to further improve performance.
