Flight Score
Arrival
Keep the back pressure coming through the flare so the sink does not return at 220 fpm.
What happened: The flare arrested the sink, but then the sink returned before touchdown.
Watch for: Watch the VSI in the flare and keep arrested sink from returning before touchdown at 230 fpm.
See Arrival Landing
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 305 m and 152 m above the runway.
At the 152 m gate: speed below the reference speed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,387 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 456 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A320, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, taking approximately 7 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 03R, with the aircraft taking off after covering 48% of the 1,617-meter runway. The liftoff speed was 158 knots.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile south west of Artemida, Greece, rising from an altitude of 393 meters above sea level to 11,578 meters above sea level, an increase of 11,185.3 meters, in 19 minutes and covering 99 nautical miles. The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 11°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 243°, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a tailwind of 1 knot.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise 5 miles south west of Ypati, Central Greece, lasting 44 minutes and covering 313 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 8 miles south west of Ston, Croatia, descending from 11,400 meters above sea level to 945 meters above sea level, a decrease of 10,454.7 meters, in 14 minutes and covering 77 nautical miles.
The aircraft entered another level cruise 6 miles south of Vinisce, Croatia, lasting only 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. It then began its final descent 2 miles south east of Vinisce, descending from 835 meters above sea level to 407 meters above sea level, a decrease of 428.1 meters, in 2 minutes and covering 4 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 05 at Split Airport took place from the south west, with the aircraft heading 53.0° at 4 nautical miles and 385.8 meters above ground level. The landing on runway 05, which was 2,387 meters long, was successful, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed that was slightly below the target at 129 knots.
The touchdown distance was good at 456 meters, with a touchdown speed of 125 knots and a smooth touchdown rate of -0.7 meters per second. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.9 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 50°, resulting in a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 979 meters, which was 41% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The aircraft then taxiied to the parking area from the runway, taking approximately 1 minute to cover less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 505 nautical miles, taking 91 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,187 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 successfully landed at LDSP Split Airport, achieving a high score of 98.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 53.0° at an altitude of 385.8 meters above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The final approach was executed smoothly, with the aircraft touching down on runway 05, which has a length of 2,387 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 130 kt, coming in at 129 kt. Despite this minor deviation, the touchdown distance was good, measuring 456 meters. The touchdown speed of 125 kt was also within acceptable limits, and the touchdown rate was smooth, with a rate of -0.7 m/s.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline, deviating by 4.9 meters. This minor deviation did not seem to affect the overall performance of the landing. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 14°C and a gentle wind of 2 kt at 50°. The crosswind was negligible, at 0 kt, while the headwind was a moderate 1 kt.
The total landing distance was 979 meters, which is 41% of the runway length. This is a relatively short distance, indicating a good landing performance. The runway rollout alignment was very good, showing that the aircraft was well under control as it came to a stop after landing. Overall, the landing was executed smoothly and efficiently, with the aircraft achieving a high score of 98.8%.
