Flight Score
Arrival
Use small rudder corrections against a point at the far end of the runway to hold the centreline during rollout, keeping the wings level with gentle aileron.
What happened: The aircraft rolled out on landing with 3.1° of bank angle.
Watch for: Watch the bank angle indicator and hold the wings level through the rollout.
See Arrival Landing
Bank angle in the pattern is conventionally kept to 20 to 30 degrees, and the base-to-final turn is where that convention earns its keep. Stall speed rises with bank because the wing must produce more lift in a turn. Roughly 7 per cent higher at 30 degrees, about 19 per cent at 45, and around 40 per cent at 60. At 65 kt on base you don't have much margin to spend steepening a turn to salvage an overshoot.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate for a circuit: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate is an instrument-approach check and does not apply.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,052 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 338 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The aircraft taxied to runway 28 at BIKF Keflavik International Airport and commenced the departure roll. The take-off run was 290 m, representing 9 % of the available runway, and liftoff occurred at 72 kt. Ambient conditions were 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 269°, resulting in a 2 kt head-wind component and zero cross-wind.
During the approach the aircraft entered a right-hand pattern from runway 28, covering less than 1 nm in 21 seconds. The subsequent right-hand crosswind leg also measured less than 1 nm and was completed in 19 seconds. The downwind turn spanned 1 nm with an angle to the runway of 101.6°, followed by a downwind leg of less than 1 nm completed in 32 seconds. The base-leg turn covered 1 nm at an angle of 89.9°, after which the base leg of less than 1 nm was flown in 29 seconds. The final turn to the runway was less than 1 nm and took 18 seconds.
Landing was executed on runway 28, whose length is 3,052 m. The threshold speed was recorded at 67 kt, and touchdown occurred 296 m down the runway at a speed of 43 kt. The aircraft’s vertical speed at touchdown was minus 15 fpm and alignment with the runway centreline was exact. Weather at the time of landing remained 15 °C with a wind of 2 kt from 270°, providing a 2 kt head-wind and no cross-wind.
In total the flight covered 5 nm, required 3 units of time, and consumed 1 kg of fuel.
The aircraft established a good threshold height and reduced to a threshold speed of 67 kt, meeting the expected parameters for runway 28 at BIKF. Local conditions were 15 °C with a 2 kt wind from 270°, providing a 2 kt headwind component and no crosswind, which supported a stable approach to the runway.
Touchdown occurred 296 m down the runway at a speed of 43 kt, both described as good, with a vertical rate of -15 fpm rated perfect and runway alignment recorded as perfect.
Maintain the already excellent touchdown point and speed consistency, while fine-tuning flare timing to preserve the smooth vertical rate observed.
