Avoid steep turns at low altitude
Below a thousand feet the aeroplane is slow, heavy and close to the ground. A steep turn loses lift, raises the stall speed and flattens the climb just when the gradient matters most. A normal turn on course is a rate one — fifteen degrees or so, twenty-five at the outside, this penalty is to acknowledge when a turn has stopped being a turn and become a manoeuvre.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,481 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 348 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving an outstanding aircraft landing score of 96.3%! Your performance throughout the different phases of the landing process was truly commendable.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, showcasing your ability to maintain precise trajectory towards the runway. While the speed was slightly below target, it shows that you were mindful of maintaining control and stability throughout the approach.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, your execution was spot on with good threshold height and a perfect landing flare. This demonstrates your skill in handling the aircraft during the critical moments before touchdown, ensuring a smooth transition from air to ground.
In the Touchdown Phase, although the touchdown rate was fair, your speed was right on target. Additionally, the touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and the runway touchdown position being 9.6 m from the centerline shows your ability to accurately place the aircraft on the runway, minimizing any risks of deviation.
Wrapping up with the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment being 9.2 m from the centerline further highlights your precision in maintaining directional control as the aircraft decelerates and comes to a stop.
Overall, your performance in each phase of the landing process showcases a high level of skill and proficiency. Keep up the excellent work and continue striving for perfection in your future landings. Well done!
