MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,947 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,947 m of the 2,772 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 548 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 22R at EKCH Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. The takeoff distance was 21 meters, which is 1% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 151 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 19°C temperature and a wind speed of 9 knots at 310°. The crosswind was 9 knots, while the headwind was 0 knots. The enroute climb started 2 miles south of Tarnby, Denmark, and reached an altitude of 36,912 feet above sea level (asl) after climbing 35,888 feet in 18 minutes and covering 118 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles east of Cambs, Germany, and lasted for 20 minutes, covering 147 nautical miles. The aircraft continued to climb, this time from 37,102 feet asl to 38,068 feet asl, an increase of 966 feet in 2 minutes and covering 12 nautical miles. The level cruise phase started 1 mile south of Kleinmolsen, Germany, and lasted for 36 minutes, covering 267 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent from 38,137 feet asl to 5,707 feet asl, a decrease of 32,431 feet in 14 minutes and covering 79 nautical miles. The level cruise phase started overhead Casalserugo, Italy, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 12 nautical miles. The descent continued, this time from 6,003 feet asl to 4,089 feet asl, a decrease of 1,914 feet in 2 minutes and covering 7 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile east of San Siro, Italy, and lasted for 9 minutes, covering 36 nautical miles. The descent started 1 mile north west of Iesolo, Italy, and the aircraft descended from 3,530 feet asl to 2,522 feet asl, a decrease of 1,009 feet in 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles.
The final level cruise phase started overhead Musile di Piave, Italy, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 6 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 22R at LIPZ Venice Marco Polo Airport from the north east, heading 222.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,307 feet above ground level (agl).
However, the aircraft performed a go-around at 13 feet agl due to unknown reasons. The aircraft then landed on runway 22R, which had a length of 2,772 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 123 knots. The touchdown point was 129 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 118 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was firm at -301 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.2 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions remained the same, with a temperature of 19°C and a wind speed of 9 knots at 310°. The crosswind was 9 knots, while the headwind was 0 knots. The total landing distance was 1,863 meters, which is 67% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed at LIPZ Venice Marco Polo Airport, achieving a score of 87.9%. The final approach to runway 22R was initiated from the north east, heading 222.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,307 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway, with the threshold height being above the target, but the threshold speed was good at 121 kt. The touchdown point was 129 meters beyond the touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the ideal landing spot. However, the touchdown speed of 118 kt was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -301 fpm was firm, suggesting a controlled descent.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 6.2 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to factors such as wind or pilot error. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 19°C and a wind speed of 9 kt at 310°. The crosswind component was 9 kt, while the headwind component was negligible at 0 kt.
The total landing distance of 1,863 meters was 67% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft was well under control during the landing phase. Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the ideal landing parameters.
