Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,744 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 230 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 10 at PAWG Wrangell Airport. The takeoff distance was 763 meters, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 150 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 8 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 99 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead Wrangell, Alaska, and continued to an altitude of 39,087 feet above sea level. This climb, which covered a distance of 229 nautical miles, took 33 minutes and involved an increase of 37,977 feet in altitude.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 12 miles northwest of CBT8 Swannell, British Columbia, Canada. This cruise phase lasted for 144 minutes and covered a distance of 1,105 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 3 miles southwest of 58ND R. Marquart Airstrip, North Dakota, United States. This descent, which covered a distance of 85 nautical miles, took 14 minutes and involved a decrease of 36,183 feet in altitude.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile northwest of 0ND2 Swenson Gardner, North Dakota, United States. This cruise phase lasted for 7 minutes and covered a distance of 11 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 18 at KFAR Hector International Airport, which was located to the north. The approach was made at a heading of 181.0 degrees, 4 nautical miles from the runway, and at an altitude of 1,257 feet above ground level.
The landing was made on runway 18, which had a length of 2,744 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 120 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 231 meters, but the touchdown speed was a little fast at 116 knots. The touchdown rate was fair at -278 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 0 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 239 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 650 meters, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,436 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 182 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 7,447 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at KFAR Hector International Airport, achieving a score of 99.3%. The final approach to runway 18 was conducted from the north, with a heading of 181.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,257 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway with a good threshold height, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The threshold speed of 120 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to manage the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown distance of 231 meters was within acceptable limits, further indicating a well-executed landing.
However, the touchdown speed of 116 knots was slightly faster than desired, which may have resulted in a slightly higher touchdown rate of -278 feet per minute. Despite this, the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft throughout the landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 0°C, with a wind speed of 2 knots from 239°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing, with the aircraft maintaining a stable and controlled approach.
The total landing distance of 650 meters was 24% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing distance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down safely and efficiently on the runway.
