MY FS FLIGHTS

Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,939 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,939 m of the 3,984 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 491 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Brussels Airport, taking approximately 5 minutes to cover less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 25R, with a takeoff distance of 1,327 meters, which is 43% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 159 knots.
As the aircraft departed, it encountered local weather conditions of 21°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 210°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Diegem, Belgium, where the aircraft ascended from 1,141 feet above sea level to 24,053 feet above sea level, an increase of 22,912 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 76 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 2 miles southeast of Bullange, Belgium, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 29 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its descent overhead Bermel, Germany, where it descended from 23,196 feet above sea level to 5,845 feet above sea level, a decrease of 17,351 feet in 10 minutes, covering a distance of 59 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise resumed 1 mile southwest of EMRA Maurice Rose Airfield, Frankfurt, Germany, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 8 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent overhead Niederdorfelden, Germany, where it descended from 5,238 feet above sea level to 1,665 feet above sea level, a decrease of 3,573 feet in 4 minutes, covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport was from the east, with a heading of 250.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,317 feet above ground level. However, the aircraft performed a go-around at 1,305 feet above ground level and again at 48 feet above ground level. Eventually, the aircraft landed on runway 25L, which has a length of 3,984 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 142 knots.
The touchdown point was 75 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 133 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -178 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 20°C temperature and a wind speed of 3 knots at 260°, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 3 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,859 meters, which is 47% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was also very good. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking area, taking approximately 8 minutes to cover 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 198 nautical miles, taking 69 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,525 kilograms of fuel.
The Airbus A321 aircraft successfully landed on runway 25L at Frankfurt Airport (EDDF) with a score of 95.1%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 250.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,317 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft was on a precise course, taking advantage of the favorable wind conditions, with a headwind of 3 knots and a crosswind of only 1 knot.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 142 knots, indicating a slight over-speed. However, the touchdown speed of 133 knots was a little fast, which may have been due to the aircraft's momentum from the approach. Despite this, the touchdown rate was good at -178 feet per minute (fpm), indicating a controlled descent.
The touchdown point was 75 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at touchdown. The local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 20°C and a light wind of 3 knots at 260°.
The total landing distance was 1,859 meters, which is 47% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was well-controlled throughout the approach and landing. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down safely and rolling out on the runway with good alignment. While there were some minor deviations from the target speeds and touchdown point, the overall performance of the aircraft was impressive, with a score of 95.1%.
