Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A350-1000, then departed from runway 22 at ZHHH Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. The takeoff distance was 4,728 feet, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of 60°F, with a wind speed of 2 knots at 159°.
As the aircraft climbed, it started its enroute climb 1 mile southwest of ZHHH Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. The climb took 22 minutes and covered a distance of 144 nautical miles, with the aircraft rising from an altitude of 1,100 feet above sea level to 40,407 feet. This represented an increase of 39,307 feet.
Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 15 miles north of Guankou, China. This phase lasted for 25 minutes and covered a distance of 195 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent 5 miles northwest of Xiongzhou, China. The descent took 33 minutes and covered a distance of 175 nautical miles, with the aircraft decreasing its altitude from 41,200 feet to 1,351 feet.
The final approach to runway 07L at VHHH Hong Kong International Airport was made from the southwest, with the aircraft heading at 65.0° at an altitude of 1,304 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was made on runway 07L, which had a length of 12,240 feet. The threshold height at 57 feet above ground level was slightly above the target, and the threshold speed was also slightly above target at 137 knots.
The touchdown point was 825 feet beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 133 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was smooth at -129 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 14 feet from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 64°F, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 120°.
The total landing distance was 4,755 feet, which accounted for 39% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 525 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 99 minutes. Notably, the aircraft used 0 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A350-1000 successfully landed at VHHH Hong Kong International Airport on runway 07L, achieving a score of 95.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southwest, heading 65.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,304 feet above ground level (agl).
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down 825 feet beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly off-target. The touchdown speed of 133 knots was a bit faster than the target speed, but the touchdown rate was smooth at -129 feet per minute (fpm). The runway touchdown position was also slightly misaligned by 14 feet from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 64°F and a gentle wind of 4 knots at 120°. The crosswind and headwind components were both 3 knots, which suggests a relatively calm environment for the landing.
The total landing distance of 4,755 feet was 39% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing roll and was able to align the aircraft with the centerline of the runway.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some minor deviations from the target parameters. The pilot's ability to maintain control of the aircraft and achieve a smooth touchdown rate was evident, and the landing roll was well-aligned with the runway centerline.
