Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,991 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 255 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 05 at RJTT Tokyo Haneda International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,477 meters, which accounted for 59% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 160 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 12 knots at a direction of 19 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 11 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles east of RJTT Tokyo Haneda International Airport. The climb took 7 minutes and covered a distance of 50 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,032 feet above sea level to 25,314 feet above sea level, an increase of 24,282 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 3 miles northwest of Ito, Japan. This phase lasted for 6 minutes and covered a distance of 111 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 6 miles south of Toba, Japan. The descent took 21 minutes and covered a distance of 86 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from 25,429 feet above sea level to 609 feet above sea level, a decrease of 24,820 feet.
The final approach to runway 33 at RJBD Nanki Shirahama Airport was made from the southeast, with a heading of 322.0 degrees at 1 nautical mile and 308 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 33, which had a length of 1,991 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly below the target at 117 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 252 meters, and the touchdown speed was 111 knots, which was also good. The touchdown rate was good at -190 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.6 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 11 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 25 knots at a direction of 350 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 12 knots and a headwind of 22 knots. The total landing distance was 1,019 meters, which accounted for 51% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 254 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 46 minutes. The aircraft used 2,860 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at RJBD Nanki Shirahama Airport, with a final approach score of 95.0%. The aircraft was approaching the runway from the south east, heading 322.0° at 1 nautical mile and 308 feet above ground level (agl). The landing was executed on runway 33, which has a length of 1,991 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct height as it approached the runway threshold. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the target speed of 117 knots, which may have been due to the aircraft's descent rate or the pilot's decision to flare earlier than expected. Despite this, the touchdown distance was good at 252 meters, and the touchdown speed of 111 knots was also within acceptable limits.
The touchdown rate of -190 feet per minute (fpm) was also good, indicating that the aircraft touched down smoothly and without excessive deceleration. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.6 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's approach path or a miscalculation by the pilot.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 11°C, with a wind speed of 25 knots from 350°. This resulted in a crosswind component of 12 knots and a headwind component of 22 knots. Despite these challenging conditions, the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft and execute a safe landing.
The total landing distance was 1,019 meters, which is 51% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the pilot was able to bring the aircraft to a stop quickly and efficiently. The runway rollout alignment was also reported as very good, indicating that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft during the rollout phase and bring it to a stop in a straight line. Overall, the landing was executed safely and efficiently, with a high degree of precision and control.
