MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Departure
Make small rudder corrections against a point at the far end to hold the centreline.
What happened: During the ground roll you drifted 6.7 m off the runway centreline.
Watch for: Watch runway alignment against the centreline, correcting with small rudder inputs.
See Departure Roll
Arrival
Make small rudder corrections against a fixed point at the far end of the runway to hold the centreline.
What happened: You drifted off the centreline on the approach.
Watch for: Runway centreline: tracked all the way to the threshold.
See Arrival Approach
Fast at the threshold, normal flare, and the runway seems to refuse the aircraft. The instinctive fix - pushing it on - causes the next one. A fast aircraft forced onto the runway touches nosewheel-first or nearly so. The tell is a touchdown that feels soft followed by a bounce that steepens. Pilots fix the bounce recovery; the cause was the 10 knots at the threshold.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
At the 1,000 ft gate: centreline 1.4° off, against a 1° limit.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,310 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 198 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The Boeing 727-200 taxied from the parking area to runway 05 at MMHO General Ignacio P. Garcia International Airport in 9 minutes, covering 2 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 05, the aircraft used 1,315 m of runway, representing 56 % of the available length, and lifted off at 142 kt. Ambient conditions were a temperature of 41 °C, wind from 210° at 6 kt, a 3 kt crosswind component and a 5 kt tailwind component.
The initial climb commenced 1 mile north-east of MMHO, climbing from 1,687 ft asl to 33,351 ft asl - an increase of 31,664 ft - in 16 minutes while covering 97 nm.
Level cruise began 21 miles south of MMHE Santa Fe Airport Heroica Caborca and continued for 30 minutes, during which 232 nm were flown.
Descent started 20 miles south-east of Rumorosa, descending from 34,007 ft asl to 3,486 ft asl - a loss of 30,521 ft - in 16 minutes and covering 82 nm.
A short cruise segment was logged 4 miles north-west of AG01 Amphibious Ready Group - San Diego, lasting 2 minutes and spanning 6 nm.
The next descent began 4 miles north-west of KNZY North Island Naval Air Station-Halsey Field, dropping from 3,054 ft asl to 580 ft asl - a decrease of 2,474 ft - in 5 minutes over 14 nm.
A subsequent climb was performed overhead Coronado, rising from 553 ft asl to 1,565 ft asl - an increase of 1,012 ft - in 2 minutes while covering 4 nm.
Another level cruise segment started 2 miles west of KNZY, lasting 6 minutes and covering 16 nm.
The final approach to runway 27 at KSAN San Diego International Airport was executed from the east, on a heading of 280.0°, at 4 nm and 1,388 ft agl.
Landing on runway 27, which is 2,310 m long, was achieved with a threshold speed of 133 kt. Touchdown occurred 53 m down the runway at 132 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 205 fpm and a lateral deviation of 6.2 m from the centreline. Local weather at the time was a temperature of 26 °C, wind from 240° at 8 kt, a 6 kt crosswind component and a 6 kt headwind component. The total landing distance was 925 m, representing 40 % of the runway.
Runway rollout alignment was noted to be slightly off centreline by 10.5 m.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in 4 minutes, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 458 nm, lasted 86 minutes, and consumed 5,186 kg of fuel.
The Boeing 737-700 entered the final approach to runway 27 at KSAN from the east, tracking a heading of 286.0° at 4 nm and 1,469 ft AGL. At the 1,000 ft gate the approach was assessed as unstable because the sink rate was too high.
The aircraft crossed the threshold with a good height and established the required threshold speed of 131 kt, both recorded as good.
Touchdown occurred 357 m down the runway at a speed of 121 kt, with a touchdown rate of minus 196 fpm, each noted as good, and runway-touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 822 m, representing 36 % of the 2,310 m runway.
Runway rollout alignment was perfect.
With a final score of 99.5 %, the landing was excellent; the primary area for refinement is the high sink rate observed at the 1,000 ft gate. Reducing the sink rate to remain within stabilised-approach limits before that point will convert the approach to a fully stabilised profile.
