Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,630 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,630 m of the 2,987 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 528 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, then departed from runway 25L at OPKC Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, Pakistan. The takeoff distance was 740 meters, which accounted for 22% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 150 knots.
As the aircraft took off, it encountered local weather conditions of 31°C temperature and a wind speed of 12 knots at 240°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 12 knots. The enroute climb started 1 mile southwest of the airport, where the aircraft climbed from 1,104 feet above sea level to 39,890 feet, an increase of 38,786 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 109 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 4 miles north of Mirpur Khas, Pakistan, and lasted for 42 minutes, covering a distance of 356 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 3 miles north of VANA Nawalgarh Airport in Nawalgarh, India, descending from 40,371 feet to 1,800 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles.
The enroute climb resumed 2 miles southeast of VIDP Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India, where the aircraft climbed from 1,795 feet to 3,707 feet in 2 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 3 miles northeast of Gurgaon, India, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 4 miles southwest of Deoli, India, where the aircraft descended from 3,697 feet to 2,145 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started 1 mile southeast of Deoli and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 29R at VIDP Indira Gandhi International Airport was made from the east, heading 284.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,287 feet above ground level. The landing was made on the runway, which had a length of 2,987 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 135 knots.
The touchdown point was 112 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 131 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was fair at -249 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 29°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 260°, with a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,550 meters, which accounted for 52% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 605 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 99 minutes. The aircraft used 9,809 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft successfully landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, navigating a final approach to runway 29R from the east. The aircraft was at an altitude of 1,287 feet above ground level (agl) and 4 nautical miles from the runway at a heading of 284.0°. The landing was executed with a high degree of precision, with a runway touchdown alignment that was deemed very good.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was slightly above the target threshold speed of 135 knots, registering at 135 kt. However, the touchdown speed of 131 kt was a little fast, indicating that the pilot may have needed to apply more braking force to slow down the aircraft. The touchdown point was 112 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 29°C and a gentle headwind of 4 knots at 260°. The crosswind component was minimal, at 2 knots, which made the landing even more manageable. The total landing distance of 1,550 meters was 52% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance.
One of the notable aspects of this landing was the perfect runway rollout alignment, which suggests that the pilot was able to maintain control of the aircraft and apply the brakes smoothly and evenly. Overall, the landing was executed with a high degree of precision and control, resulting in a score of 98.9%.
