MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,246 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 479 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Cessna CJ4 Citation, then departed from runway 36R at LTAI Antalya International Airport. The takeoff distance was 398 meters, which accounted for 12% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 110 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 21 knots at a direction of 350 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 20 knots. The aircraft took off and began its enroute climb, which started overhead LTAI Antalya International Airport. The climb phase involved an increase in altitude from 1,170 feet above sea level to 27,007 feet above sea level, a total increase of 25,836 feet, in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 40 nautical miles.
Following the climb phase, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 7 miles south of Kemer, Turkey. This cruise phase lasted for 16 minutes and covered a distance of 85 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 2 miles west of Kavaklidere, Turkey. The descent phase involved a decrease in altitude from 27,119 feet above sea level to 3,695 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 23,424 feet, in 20 minutes and covering a distance of 71 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 3 miles east of LTBJ Adnan Menderes International Airport. This cruise phase lasted for 13 minutes and covered a distance of 13 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started 6 miles north-east of Ozdere, Turkey. The descent phase involved a decrease in altitude from 3,696 feet above sea level to 1,624 feet above sea level, a total decrease of 2,073 feet, in 4 minutes and covering a distance of 10 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 34R at LTBJ Adnan Menderes International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 347.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,234 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 34R, which had a length of 3,246 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 106 knots.
The touchdown point was 144 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 92 knots and a touchdown rate of -51 feet per minute, which was excellent. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 4 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 15 knots at a direction of 340 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 15 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,295 meters, which accounted for 40% of the runway. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 5 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 227 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 77 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 589 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Cessna CJ4 Citation successfully landed at LTBJ Adnan Menderes International Airport, achieving a score of 99.1%. The aircraft approached the runway from the south, heading 347.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,234 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed on runway 34R, which has a length of 3,246 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 106 knots. This indicates that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft's descent and speed. The touchdown point was 144 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively minor deviation. However, the touchdown speed of 92 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -51 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, indicating a smooth and controlled landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 4°C and a wind speed of 15 knots from 340°. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 15 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The total landing distance of 1,295 meters was 40% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control over the aircraft during the landing phase. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and control, and the aircraft came to a stop in a safe and efficient manner.
