Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,025 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,025 m of the 3,595 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 620 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-300, then departed from runway 02 at LPPT Humberto Delgado Airport, also known as Lisbon Portela Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,319 meters, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 186 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 3 knots at a direction of 30 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 0 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead Camarate, a location in the Distrito de Lisboa, Portugal. During this phase, the aircraft climbed from an altitude of 1,387 feet above sea level to 35,425 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,039 feet in 15 minutes, covering a distance of 102 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise phase began 5 miles northwest of Membrio, a location in Extremadura, Spain, and lasted for 361 minutes. During this period, the aircraft covered a distance of 3,102 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 46 miles southwest of OIBK Kish International Airport, located on Kish Island in the Hormozgan Province, Iran. The descent phase saw the aircraft decrease its altitude from 35,069 feet above sea level to 2,125 feet above sea level, a decrease of 32,943 feet in 25 minutes, covering a distance of 131 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise phase, which started 4 miles southeast of OMSH Sharjah Airport, located in Sharjah, Dubai. This phase lasted for only 3 minutes and covered a distance of 9 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 30L at OMDB Dubai International Airport began from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 301.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,288 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 30L at OMDB Dubai International Airport was successful, with the aircraft touching down 202 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 132 knots, which was considered good, and the touchdown rate was also good at -178 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius and a wind speed of 2 knots at a direction of 0 degrees, resulting in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,942 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 4 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 3,352 nautical miles, which was covered in 417 minutes, and the aircraft used 50,077 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-300 aircraft successfully landed at Dubai International Airport (OMDB) on runway 30L. The final approach was initiated from the southeast, heading 301.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,288 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft maintained a good threshold height, and the threshold speed was achieved at 140 knots, indicating a smooth and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 202 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 132 knots. This speed was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -178 feet per minute (fpm) was also good, indicating a controlled and stable landing. However, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.3 meters from the centerline, which may require some adjustments during the landing roll.
The local weather conditions were favorable for the landing, with a temperature of 25°C and a calm wind of 2 knots at 0°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and the headwind component was 1 knot, which did not pose any significant challenges to the landing. The total landing distance of 1,942 meters was 54% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the aircraft's brakes were applied smoothly and effectively, and the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing roll. Overall, the landing was successful, and the aircraft came to a stop within a safe distance from the runway threshold.
