Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,019 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,019 m of the 3,501 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 673 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A319 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Frankfurt Airport, taking 8 minutes and covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. Departure roll took place on runway 18, with a takeoff distance of 1,086 meters, which was 27% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 162 knots.
As the aircraft departed, it encountered local weather conditions of 3°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 270°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 0 knots. After departure, the aircraft began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles west of Moerfelden-Walldorf, Germany. The climb took 16 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,346 feet above sea level to 35,669 feet, an increase of 34,323 feet. The distance covered during this climb was 101 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 1 mile west of Oberwolfach, Germany. This phase lasted for 14 minutes and covered a distance of 96 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time starting 2 miles north of Gletterens, Switzerland. The climb took 2 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 35,940 feet to 37,197 feet, an increase of 1,256 feet. The distance covered during this climb was 14 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, this time starting overhead Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. This phase lasted for 30 minutes and covered a distance of 189 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent, starting 1 mile north of Chaudes-Aigues, France. The descent took 27 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 37,117 feet to 1,820 feet, a decrease of 35,297 feet. The distance covered during this descent was 104 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32L at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport took place from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 323.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,311 feet above ground level. The landing took place on runway 32L, which had a length of 3,501 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also good at 138 knots.
The touchdown point was 258 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 130 knots, which was good. The touchdown rate was fair at -248 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. Local weather conditions at the time of landing were 12°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 250°, with a crosswind component of 3 knots and a headwind component of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,938 meters, which was 55% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was perfect. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking 4 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 515 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 3,565 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, scoring a high 95.5% on its performance. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 323.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,311 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 32L, which has a length of 3,501 meters.
The threshold height was good, indicating that the aircraft was at the correct altitude as it approached the runway. The threshold speed of 138 knots was also satisfactory, demonstrating the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's speed during the landing phase. The touchdown point was 258 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is a relatively short distance, suggesting that the pilot had good control over the aircraft's descent.
The touchdown speed of 130 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -248 feet per minute (fpm) was fair, indicating that the aircraft touched down with a moderate rate of descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline at the moment of touchdown.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from 250°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, and the headwind component was 1 knot, which did not pose any significant challenges to the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,938 meters was 55% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance. This suggests that the pilot had good control over the aircraft's descent and was able to touch down with a moderate rate of descent. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was aligned with the runway centerline during the rollout phase.
Overall, the Airbus A319's landing performance at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport was excellent, with a high score of 95.5%. The pilot's skills and experience were evident in the precision and control demonstrated during the final approach and landing phases.
