Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 3,727 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the full 3,727 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 743 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Vision Jet taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Ajaccio-Napoléon Bonaparte Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft then departed from runway 02, with a takeoff distance of 1,509 feet, which accounted for 21% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 97 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it encountered local weather conditions of a temperature of 63°F and winds of 6 knots at 60°. The crosswind was 3 knots, while the headwind was 5 knots. The enroute climb started overhead the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 820 feet above sea level to 8,055 feet, an increase of 7,235 feet in just 4 minutes, covering a distance of 11 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 4 miles west of Coti-Chiavari, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 5 nautical miles. However, the climb resumed 9 miles west of Coti-Chiavari, with the aircraft ascending from 8,043 feet to 13,545 feet, an increase of 5,502 feet in 3 minutes, covering 11 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 16 miles south-west of Villanova, and lasted for 23 minutes, covering 95 nautical miles. However, the descent started 25 miles south-east of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, with the aircraft descending from 12,638 feet to 2,995 feet, a decrease of 9,643 feet in 7 minutes, covering 19 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 14 miles south-east of Theoule-sur-Mer, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering 4 nautical miles. However, the descent resumed 12 miles south of Theoule-sur-Mer, with the aircraft descending from 2,983 feet to 1,985 feet, a decrease of 998 feet in 2 minutes, covering 3 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 8 miles south of Theoule-sur-Mer, and lasted for 3 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 35 at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport was made from the south, with the aircraft heading 353.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,079 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 35 was successful, with a touchdown distance of 740 feet, which was good. The touchdown speed was 65 knots, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -50 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was misaligned by 27 feet from the centreline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 61°F and winds of 4 knots at 0°.
The total landing distance was 1,898 feet, which accounted for 51% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 26 feet from the centreline. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, taking 2 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 162 nautical miles, taking 56 minutes, and the aircraft used 419 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at LFMD Cannes-Mandelieu Airport, achieving a score of 96.9%. The aircraft began its final approach to runway 35 from the south, heading 353.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,079 feet above ground level.
Upon landing, the aircraft demonstrated good control, with a threshold speed of 73 knots and a touchdown speed of 65 knots. The touchdown distance was also within acceptable limits at 740 feet. The touchdown rate was particularly impressive, with an excellent rate of -50 feet per minute. However, there were some minor issues with the alignment of the aircraft during the landing, with the runway touchdown position being misaligned by 27 feet from the centreline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were favorable, with a temperature of 61°F and a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 0°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind and a headwind of 4 knots, which did not significantly impact the landing. The total landing distance was 1,898 feet, which is 51% of the runway length of 3,727 feet. During the rollout, the aircraft's alignment was slightly misaligned by 26 feet from the centreline, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path.
Overall, the Vision Jet's landing at LFMD Cannes-Mandelieu Airport was a success, with the aircraft demonstrating good control and precision. However, there is room for improvement in terms of alignment during the landing and rollout phases.
