MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,553 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 199 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Congratulations on achieving a fantastic aircraft landing score of 98.8%! Your performance during each phase of the landing process was exceptional.
During the Approach Phase, your glideslope alignment was excellent, indicating precise control and navigation. This is crucial for setting up a smooth and stable approach to the runway.
In the Landing Phase, your threshold height was good, ensuring a safe and timely touchdown. Additionally, your landing flare was very good, allowing for a smooth transition from descent to touchdown.
Moving on to the Touchdown Phase, your touchdown rate was hard, but your speed was on target, indicating a controlled and intentional landing. The touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and the runway touchdown position were both very good, demonstrating your proficiency in aligning the aircraft with the runway.
Lastly, during the Rollout Phase, your runway alignment was very good, ensuring a straight and stable rollout after touchdown. This is important for maintaining control and stability as the aircraft decelerates.
Overall, your performance showcases a high level of skill and precision in all phases of the landing process. Keep up the great work and continue honing your skills to consistently achieve top scores in future landings. Well done!
