MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,579 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,579 m of the 2,738 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 400 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Punta Cana International Airport, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 09, the crew prepared for departure, taking into account the local weather conditions, with a temperature of 28 °C and a wind speed of 16 kt at 80 °. The aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 163 kt, using 59% of the 1,837-meter runway.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 33,981 feet above sea level in 14 minutes, covering a distance of 148 nautical miles. The crew then transitioned into a level cruise, maintaining an altitude of 33,981 feet for 38 minutes, covering a distance of 899 nautical miles. The aircraft continued on its journey, making a series of enroute climbs and level cruises, with the final climb taking place 11 miles west of Homosassa, Florida, where it reached an altitude of 35,009 feet. The aircraft then began its descent, starting 3 miles east of Cadwell, Georgia, and landing on runway 09R at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The landing was executed smoothly, with the aircraft touching down at a speed of 139 kt and a distance of 399 meters, using 55% of the 2,738-meter runway. The touchdown rate was firm at -382 fpm, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,403 nautical miles, and the aircraft used 9,681 kilograms of fuel during the journey, which took a total of 87 minutes.
The aircraft touched down on runway 09R at KATL Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport with a firm touchdown rate of -382 fpm, slightly above the optimal rate. The touchdown speed of 139 kt was a little fast, but still within acceptable limits. The aircraft maintained very good runway touchdown alignment, with the nose wheel precisely on the centerline.
Following a smooth touchdown, the aircraft began its rollout, maintaining perfect centerline alignment throughout. The total landing distance of 1,502 m was 55% of the runway length, indicating a well-executed landing. The threshold speed of 142 kt was good, and the threshold height was satisfactory. The approach quality was excellent, with the aircraft maintaining a stable and controlled descent throughout the final approach.
The overall performance of the landing was impressive, with a score of 98.3%. The good threshold height, speed, and touchdown distance, combined with the perfect rollout alignment, contributed to this high score. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 21 °C and a moderate headwind of 6 kt, did not appear to have any significant impact on the landing.
