Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,137 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 397 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 09 at CYJT Dymond Airport in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The takeoff distance was 1,032 meters, which accounted for 34% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 152 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of -7 °C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 249°.
As the aircraft climbed out of CYJT Dymond Airport, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead the airport and continued for 24 minutes. During this time, the aircraft ascended from 1,125 feet above sea level to 38,025 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,901 feet. The enroute climb covered a distance of 117 nautical miles. Following the climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise, which started 35 miles northeast of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. This cruise phase lasted for 165 minutes and covered a distance of 1,256 nautical miles.
The enroute descent began 6 miles northeast of Cottageville, South Carolina, United States, and lasted for 14 minutes. During this time, the aircraft descended from 37,652 feet above sea level to 1,999 feet above sea level, a decrease of 35,653 feet. The enroute descent covered a distance of 73 nautical miles. Following the descent, the aircraft entered another level cruise, which started overhead Montgomery, Georgia, United States, and lasted for 2 minutes, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 01 at KSAV Savannah Hilton Head International Airport was made from the south, with a heading of 359.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,289 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 01, which had a length of 2,137 meters. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 21 °C, with a wind speed of 5 knots at 249°. The crosswind was 4 knots, and the tailwind was 2 knots.
The touchdown distance was 395 meters, which was within the acceptable range. The touchdown speed was 128 knots, which was a little fast, and the touchdown rate was -228 feet per minute, which was fair. The runway touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 1,186 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also very good.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, which took approximately 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 1,460 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 211 minutes. The aircraft used 10,490 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at KSAV Savannah Hilton Head International Airport, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures. The aircraft's final approach to runway 01 from the south was executed at a heading of 359.0°, with a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,289 feet above ground level (agl).
The landing was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured for landing. The threshold speed of 133 knots was also within acceptable limits, suggesting that the pilots had effectively managed the aircraft's descent and approach speed. The touchdown distance of 395 meters was also satisfactory, indicating that the pilots had maintained control of the aircraft throughout the landing process.
However, there were a few areas where the landing could be improved. The touchdown speed of 128 knots was slightly faster than recommended, which may have resulted in a slightly higher touchdown rate of -228 feet per minute (fpm). While this is not excessively high, it does suggest that the pilots may have been able to achieve a smoother touchdown with a slightly slower approach speed.
Despite these minor issues, the overall performance of the aircraft during the landing was impressive. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the pilots had effectively aligned the aircraft with the runway centerline. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 21°C and a light wind of 5 knots from 249°, were also favorable for the landing.
The total landing distance of 1,186 meters was 55% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilots had effectively controlled the aircraft's rotation and deceleration during the landing process.
Overall, the Boeing 737-600 aircraft demonstrated a high level of proficiency in its approach and landing procedures, with a score of 98.8% indicating a very good performance. While there were a few minor areas for improvement, the pilots' overall performance was impressive, and the landing was executed safely and efficiently.
