Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,026 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 314 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Chişinău International Airport, the Airbus A380 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 5 minutes and covered a distance of approximately 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 26, the local weather conditions were favorable, with a temperature of 27 °C and a gentle wind of 6 kt at 330 °. The takeoff roll commenced, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 162 kt, utilizing 42% of the available runway length of 1,501 m.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it passed overhead Chişinău International Airport, marking the beginning of the enroute climb phase. The aircraft ascended from 1,362 ft to 40,000 ft in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 120 nm. Following a brief level cruise phase, which lasted 22 minutes and covered 175 nm, the aircraft began its descent towards Warsaw Chopin Airport. The descent phase was initiated 3 miles west of Rokitno, Poland, and the aircraft descended from 39,456 ft to 1,655 ft in 26 minutes, covering a distance of 140 nm.
As the aircraft approached runway 33 at Warsaw Chopin Airport, it was aligned with the runway from the southeast, heading 332.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,279 ft above ground level. The landing was executed smoothly, with a touchdown speed of 120 kt and a touchdown distance of 315 m, which was 34% of the available runway length of 3,026 m. The aircraft touched down firmly, with a rate of -337 fpm. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 443 nm, and the aircraft used 13,348 kg of fuel during the journey, which lasted 74 minutes.
The final approach to runway 33 at EPWA Warsaw Chopin Airport from the south east, heading 332.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,279 ft agl, was executed with good approach quality. The aircraft maintained a stable and controlled descent throughout the approach, with a threshold height that was well within the acceptable limits. The threshold speed of 128 kt was also satisfactory, indicating a well-coordinated and controlled approach.
As the aircraft touched down on the runway, the touchdown distance of 315 m was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown speed of 120 kt was also good. However, the touchdown rate of -337 fpm was firm, indicating a slightly steeper than ideal descent rate. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.4 m from the centreline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the approach path. Local weather conditions, with a temperature of 23 °C and wind at 8 kt at 260 °, contributed to a crosswind of 8 kt and a headwind of 3 kt.
The total landing distance of 1,016 m, which accounted for 34% of the runway length, was within the acceptable range. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 11.9 m from the centreline, indicating a slight deviation in the aircraft's alignment during the rollout phase. Despite these minor deviations, the overall performance of the aircraft was satisfactory, with a final score of 95.1%.
