MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,601 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,601 m of the 2,617 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 748 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A320 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Geneva Cointrin International Airport, taking 4 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. Departure roll took place on runway 04, with the aircraft taking off after covering 39% of the runway's length. The takeoff distance was 1,405 meters, and the liftoff speed was 164 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 32°C temperature and a wind speed of 13 knots at 59 degrees. The crosswind was 3 knots, and the headwind was 13 knots. The enroute climb started overhead Bellevue, Geneva, Switzerland, and the aircraft climbed from 2,358 feet above sea level to 36,890 feet above sea level, an increase of 34,532 feet in 22 minutes, covering a distance of 130 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 2 miles southwest of Tonnerre, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France, and lasted 57 minutes, covering a distance of 402 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its descent from 36,332 feet above sea level to 8,473 feet above sea level, a decrease of 27,859 feet in 21 minutes, covering a distance of 129 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise started again 14 miles northeast of Loughshinny, Leinster, Ireland, and lasted 2 minutes, covering a distance of 6 nautical miles.
The final descent started 14 miles east of Loughshinny, and the aircraft descended from 8,131 feet above sea level to 1,506 feet above sea level, a decrease of 6,625 feet in 8 minutes, covering a distance of 19 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 28L at Dublin Airport, flying from the east at a heading of 275.0 degrees and at an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level.
The landing took place on runway 28L, which was 2,617 meters long. The threshold height was good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots. The touchdown point was 321 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 141 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -400 feet per minute. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 13.3 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 17°C temperature and a wind speed of 15 knots at 220 degrees. The crosswind was 13 knots, and the headwind was 9 knots. The total landing distance was 1,510 meters, which was 58% of the runway's length. The runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 18.8 meters from the centerline. The aircraft then taxied to the parking area, taking 3 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 694 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 118 minutes. The aircraft used 5,171 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A320 aircraft successfully landed on runway 28L at Dublin Airport (EIDW) with a score of 82.3%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 275.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,272 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft touched down on the runway, which has a length of 2,617 meters.
The threshold height was reported as good, but the threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 140 knots. The touchdown point was located 321 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, indicating a slight deviation from the intended landing spot. The touchdown speed of 141 knots was also a little faster than the target speed, resulting in a firm touchdown rate of -400 feet per minute (fpm).
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 17°C, with a wind speed of 15 knots from a direction of 220°. This resulted in a crosswind of 13 knots and a headwind of 9 knots. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 13.3 meters from the centerline, and the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 18.8 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 1,510 meters, which accounted for 58% of the runway length. Overall, while the landing was successful, there were some deviations from the intended landing parameters, including a slightly above-target threshold speed, a touchdown point beyond the designated zone, and misaligned runway touchdown and rollout positions.
