MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,632 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,632 m of the 2,810 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 678 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 9 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 777-200ER, then departed from runway 17R at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, Chile. The takeoff distance was 897 meters, which accounted for 24% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 151 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 1 knot at 0°. There was no crosswind, but a tailwind of 1 knot was present. As the aircraft climbed, it began to ascend from an altitude of 2,579 feet above sea level to 39,148 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,569 feet in 16 minutes, covering a distance of 111 nautical miles.
The enroute climb started overhead Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, and the aircraft continued to climb until it reached its cruising altitude. The enroute level cruise started 26 miles northwest of Suboficial Ay Santiago Germano Airport in San Rafael, Argentina, and lasted for 47 minutes, covering a distance of 441 nautical miles.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, starting 7 miles southeast of Chivilcoy Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The descent from 39,236 feet above sea level to 1,351 feet above sea level, a decrease of 37,885 feet in 19 minutes, covered a distance of 69 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 35 at Minister Pistarini International Airport was made from the south, heading 344.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,270 feet above ground level. The landing on runway 35 was successful, with a touchdown point 262 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was a little fast at 130 knots, but the touchdown rate was good at -180 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 280°. There was a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 1,552 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took only 1 minute and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 630 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 93 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 8,432 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft successfully landed at SAEZ Minister Pistarini International Airport, achieving a score of 92.6%. The final approach to runway 35 was initiated from the south, with a heading of 344.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level.
The aircraft touched down on the runway, with a threshold speed of 134 knots, which was considered good. However, the touchdown speed of 130 knots was slightly faster than ideal. The touchdown point was located 262 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended landing path.
The aircraft's descent rate was good, with a rate of -180 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the landing. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 14°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 280°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 2 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,552 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway length. This suggests that the aircraft had sufficient runway remaining for a safe stop. The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a good score. However, there were some minor deviations from ideal performance, including a slightly fast touchdown speed and a touchdown point beyond the designated zone.
