Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 10,617 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 852 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 13 minutes and covered a distance of 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, then departed from runway 01L at ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. The takeoff distance was 1,251 feet, which accounted for 12% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 154 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 45°F and a wind speed of 6 knots from a direction of 360°. This resulted in a headwind of 6 knots and a negligible crosswind of 1 knot. As the aircraft took off, it began its enroute climb, which started overhead ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda Airport. The climb took 24 minutes and covered a distance of 159 nautical miles, during which the aircraft ascended from an altitude of 1,125 feet above sea level to 36,962 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 1 mile north of Vetlanda, Sweden. This phase lasted for 85 minutes and covered a distance of 623 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 1 mile northeast of Thayngen, Switzerland. The descent took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 80 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 37,008 feet to 24,850 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 1 mile west of Strengen, Austria. This phase lasted for only 3 minutes and covered a distance of 27 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started overhead LOJH Hochgurgl Heliport Sölden, Austria. The descent took 22 minutes and covered a distance of 105 nautical miles, during which the aircraft descended from an altitude of 24,778 feet to 2,742 feet.
The final approach to runway 34 at LSZH Zürich Airport was made from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 335.0° at an altitude of 1,332 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down on the runway at a speed of 124 knots and a touchdown rate of -93 feet per minute. The touchdown distance was 859 feet, which was within the acceptable limits.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 43°F and a wind speed of 3 knots from a direction of 119°. This resulted in a tailwind of 2 knots and a negligible crosswind of 2 knots. The total landing distance was 4,553 feet, which accounted for 43% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, and the aircraft was taxied to the parking area in 3 minutes, covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 1,003 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 157 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 14,847 pounds of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft successfully landed at Zürich Airport (LSZH) on runway 34, achieving a perfect score of 100.0%. The final approach was initiated from the south east, heading 335.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,332 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft's approach and landing performance were impressive, with a good threshold height and a threshold speed of 129 knots. The touchdown distance of 859 feet was also within the acceptable range, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 124 knots was also good, and the touchdown rate of -93 feet per minute (fpm) was excellent, demonstrating a high degree of precision and control.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 43°F and a wind speed of 3 knots from 119°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, and the tailwind component was also 2 knots, which had a negligible impact on the aircraft's performance.
The total landing distance of 4,553 feet was 43% of the runway length, indicating a safe and controlled rollout. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and expertise in managing the aircraft's descent and touchdown.
Overall, the landing of the Boeing 737-800 at Zürich Airport was a textbook example of a well-executed approach and landing, with all parameters within the acceptable range. The pilot's performance was exceptional, and the aircraft's systems performed flawlessly, resulting in a safe and successful landing.
