Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,498 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 302 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Douglas DC-3 began with a 17-minute taxi from the parking area to the runway at LZKZ Kosice. The departure took place on runway 01, with a takeoff distance of 469 meters, which accounted for 15% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 82 knots. The local weather at the time of departure was 13°C with a wind speed of 17 knots coming from 10°, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 17 knots.
The enroute climb started 1 mile north of LZKZ Kosice. The aircraft climbed from 1,181 feet above sea level to 4,130 feet above sea level, an increase of 2,949 feet in 3 minutes covering a distance of 6 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise began 2 miles south of LZKE Vyšná Myšľa Airstrip Kosice and lasted 4 minutes, covering 12 nautical miles.
The landing took place on runway 01 at LRSM Satu Mare, with a runway length of 2,498 meters. The height at threshold was 38 feet above ground level, and the speed at the threshold was 68 knots. The touchdown occurred 299 meters from the threshold at a speed of 61 knots, with a vertical speed indicator showing a descent rate of -284 feet per minute. The local weather at the time of landing was 17°C with a wind speed of 4 knots coming from 349°, resulting in a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 4 knots.
The total landing distance was 1,024 meters, which accounted for 41% of the runway. Finally, taxiing from the runway to the parking area took 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 93 nautical miles, which took 66 minutes and consumed 179 kg of fuel.
Overall, the aircraft landing score of 97.3% is a fantastic result, indicating a very successful and well-executed landing.
During the Approach Phase, the pilot displayed excellent skill in maintaining the correct glideslope alignment, ensuring a smooth descent towards the runway. Although the speed was slightly below the target, it did not significantly impact the overall landing performance.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, it is evident that the pilot had good control over the aircraft's threshold height, allowing for a precise and timely flare during the landing. The firm touchdown rate suggests a confident and controlled approach, while maintaining the correct landing speed further demonstrates the pilot's proficiency.
In the Touchdown Phase, the pilot managed to land within the touchdown zone with an impressive 2.7m distance from the centreline, showcasing precise positioning and alignment. This level of accuracy is crucial for a safe and effective landing.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment was slightly off at 6.0m from the centreline. While this may be a minor deviation, it is still important to strive for precise alignment to ensure a smooth taxiing and exit from the runway.
Overall, the pilot should be commended for their skillful handling of the aircraft during the landing process. With consistent practice and attention to detail, they can continue to improve and strive for even higher landing scores in the future. Keep up the excellent work!
