Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,765 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 428 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The ATR 72 taxied from the parking area to runway 04 at TVSA Argyle International Airport in 6 minutes, covering a distance of 4 nm.
During the departure roll on runway 04, the aircraft accelerated through a takeoff distance of 723 m, representing 26 % of the runway, and lifted off at 117 kt; ambient conditions were 31 °C with a wind of 12 kt from 040°, a 4 kt cross-wind component and a 12 kt head-wind component.
Climb commenced overhead TVSA, with the airplane ascending from 1,089 ft asl to 11,408 ft asl, a gain of 10,319 ft achieved in 8 minutes while covering 24 nm.
Descent began 14 miles south-west of Choiseul, Saint Lucia, where the aircraft reduced altitude from 11,409 ft asl to 1,363 ft asl, a loss of 10,046 ft over 9 minutes and a ground track of 33 nm.
The final approach to runway 09 at TLPC George F. L. Charles Airport was executed from the west on a heading of 74.0° at 4 nm and 1,332 ft agl.
Landing on runway 09, which is 1,765 m long, occurred with a threshold speed slightly above target at 105 kt; touchdown was recorded at 428 m from the threshold at 96 kt, with a smooth touchdown rate of minus 113 fpm and perfect runway alignment; local weather reported 31 °C, wind 16 kt from 070°, a 1 kt cross-wind and a 16 kt head-wind, and the total landing distance measured 938 m, equal to 53 % of the runway.
Runway rollout continued with perfect alignment, completing the landing roll within the measured 938 m distance.
The aircraft taxied from the runway to the parking area in less than 1 minute, covering less than 1 nm.
In total, the flight covered 66 nm, required 28 minutes of airborne time, and consumed 293 kg of fuel.
The final approach to runway 09 at TLPC George F. L. Charles Airport was flown from the west on a heading of 74.0 ° at 4 nm and 1,332 ft agl, with a temperature of 31 °C, wind 16 kt from 70 °, a 1 kt cross-wind component and a 16 kt head-wind component. The aircraft maintained a stable glide path and the threshold height was good.
At threshold the speed was recorded at 105 kt, slightly above the target, and the aircraft continued the flare with the established good threshold height. The wind conditions remained steady, supporting the continuation of the approach profile.
Touchdown occurred 428 m down the runway, a distance judged good, with a touchdown speed of 96 kt, a little fast, and a smooth vertical rate of -113 fpm. Runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The rollout covered a total landing distance of 938 m, representing 53 % of the 1,765 m runway, and rollout alignment remained perfect throughout the deceleration.
To tighten the remaining margin, aim to achieve the target threshold speed and reduce touchdown speed slightly toward the reference value while preserving the stable approach already demonstrated. Maintaining this precision will keep the landing well within the runway limits and sustain the high overall score.
