Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway. They are the approach's score: the checks passed out of the checks that ran.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,743 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,743 m of the 2,746 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 442 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from General Mitchell International Airport (KMKE) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Boeing 737-MAX8 began its journey on runway 25L. After a 4-minute taxi, the aircraft accelerated down the 1,186-meter runway, covering 50% of its length, and lifted off at a speed of 154 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure featured a temperature of 11°C, with a wind of 21 knots at 300°, resulting in a crosswind of 16 knots and a headwind of 14 knots.
As the aircraft climbed away from KMKE, it began its enroute climb, reaching an altitude of 37,010 feet above sea level in 17 minutes, covering a distance of 143 nautical miles. The climb phase was followed by a 23-minute level cruise, during which the aircraft covered 361 nautical miles, before starting its descent towards Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT). The descent phase was initiated 7 miles south of Newport, Tennessee, and lasted 14 minutes, covering 139 nautical miles. The aircraft then leveled off for a brief period, before beginning its final descent, which ended with a landing on runway 36L at KCLT.
The landing was executed with a threshold speed slightly above the target of 150 knots, and a touchdown speed of 147 knots, which was a little fast. The touchdown distance of 441 meters was good, and the runway touchdown alignment was very good. The total landing distance of 1,667 meters was 61% of the runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, covering a distance of 1 nautical mile in 3 minutes. The total flight distance of 669 nautical miles was completed in 68 minutes, with the aircraft using 3,729 kilograms of fuel.
The Boeing 737-MAX8 touched down on runway 36L at KCLT Charlotte Douglas International Airport with a good threshold height, allowing the crew to maintain a stable approach. The threshold speed was slightly above the target at 150 kt, but the aircraft's performance remained within acceptable limits. As the aircraft made contact with the runway, the touchdown distance was good at 441 m, indicating a well-executed landing.
The touchdown speed of 147 kt was a little fast, resulting in a fair touchdown rate of -280 fpm. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, demonstrating the crew's proficiency in navigating the aircraft to the desired location. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 17 °C and wind at 17 kt from 319 °, contributed to a relatively smooth landing. The crosswind of 10 kt and headwind of 14 kt also played a role in the aircraft's performance.
The total landing distance of 1,667 m, which accounted for 61% of the runway, was within acceptable limits. However, the runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 7.8 m from the centreline, indicating a minor deviation from the desired path. Despite this, the overall performance of the crew and the aircraft earned a score of 97.4%, reflecting a high level of proficiency and adherence to standard operating procedures.
