MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,693 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 411 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
Departing from Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, the Airbus A321 began its journey by taxiing from the parking area to the runway, a process that took 6 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. As the aircraft lined up on runway 19L, the local weather conditions were characterized by a temperature of 7 °C and a wind speed of 13 kt from 210 °, resulting in a 3 kt crosswind and a 13 kt headwind. The takeoff roll commenced, and the aircraft lifted off the ground at a speed of 153 kt, utilizing 63% of the available runway length of 1,854 m.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb 2 miles northwest of Jessheim, Norway, and continued to ascend to a maximum altitude of 29,008 ft. This climb phase, which lasted 14 minutes, covered a distance of 81 nautical miles and resulted in an increase of 27,292 ft in altitude. Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 8 miles southeast of Stavern, Norway, and lasted for 71 minutes, covering a distance of 486 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, initially from 28,993 ft to 6,034 ft over Altenberga, Germany, and later from 5,527 ft to 2,460 ft near Happurg, Germany. The final approach to runway 28 at Nuremberg Airport was initiated from the east, and the aircraft touched down on the runway with a touchdown speed of 132 kt and a touchdown distance of 413 m.
The landing was characterized by a slightly fast touchdown speed and a fair touchdown rate of -248 fpm. However, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The total landing distance was 1,287 m, which represented 48% of the available runway length. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, a process that took 3 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 674 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 112 minutes, with a fuel consumption of 5,865 kg.
The Airbus A321 touched down on runway 28 at EDDN Nuremberg Airport with a satisfactory approach quality, demonstrating good control and precision throughout the descent. The aircraft descended from 4 nm and 1,415 ft above ground level, aligning itself with the runway heading of 279.0°. The threshold height was well-managed, allowing for a smooth transition to the runway surface.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's speed was slightly above the target threshold speed of 137 kt, registering 139 kt. However, the touchdown distance of 413 m was within acceptable limits, indicating a good braking performance. The touchdown speed of 132 kt was a little fast, but the aircraft's deceleration was fair, with a touchdown rate of -248 fpm. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, with the aircraft centered on the runway centerline.
The Airbus A321's rollout was characterized by perfect alignment with the runway centerline, demonstrating excellent control and precision during the deceleration phase. The total landing distance of 1,287 m, which accounted for 48% of the runway length, was within acceptable limits. The local weather conditions, with a temperature of 2 °C and a headwind of 7 kt, did not significantly impact the landing performance. Overall, the landing was scored 99.7%, reflecting a high level of proficiency and control.
