Improve the taxi
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 2,115 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 418 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then departed from runway 20 at EDWI JadeWeser Airport, with a takeoff distance of 595 meters, which accounted for 61% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of takeoff were characterized by a temperature of 16°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 269°. This resulted in a crosswind of 6 knots and a headwind of 2 knots. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, starting 1 mile south east of Sande, Lower Saxony, Germany. The climb took 11 minutes, during which the aircraft ascended from 1,023 feet above sea level to 18,018 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 28 nautical miles.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 14 miles north east of Wangerooge, Lower Saxony, Germany. This phase lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 14 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, starting 11 miles south west of Sankt Peter-Ording, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The descent took 9 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 18,012 feet above sea level to 3,009 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 31 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 2 miles south east of Wyk auf Foehr, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. This phase lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its final descent, starting 2 miles north of Midlum, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The descent took 3 minutes, during which the aircraft descended from 3,010 feet above sea level to 1,297 feet above sea level, covering a distance of 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32 at EDXW Westerland Sylt Airport was made from the south east, with a heading of 325.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,253 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 417 meters, which was 66% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 78 knots, and the touchdown rate was excellent at -86 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 270°. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,401 meters, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 93 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 37 minutes. The aircraft used 78 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The aircraft in question, identified as an M500, successfully landed at EDXW Westerland Sylt Airport, navigating a final approach to runway 32 from the south east. The aircraft's altitude at 4 nautical miles from the runway was 1,253 feet above ground level, and it was heading in the direction of 325.0°. The pilot's approach and landing were deemed highly effective, with a final approach score of 98.7%.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway with a speed of 87 knots, which was considered to be within the acceptable threshold speed range. The touchdown distance of 417 meters was also deemed satisfactory, indicating that the pilot had maintained control of the aircraft throughout the landing process. Furthermore, the touchdown speed of 78 knots was within the acceptable range, and the touchdown rate of -86 feet per minute was excellent, suggesting that the pilot had executed a smooth and controlled landing.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of 15°C and a wind speed of 6 knots from the northwest. The crosswind component was 5 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots. Despite these conditions, the pilot was able to maintain perfect runway touchdown alignment, indicating a high degree of skill and control.
The total landing distance of 1,401 meters was 66% of the runway length, which is a relatively short distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. This suggests that the pilot had executed a precise and controlled landing, minimizing the amount of runway required to come to a stop. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, indicating that the pilot had maintained control of the aircraft throughout the landing process and had successfully brought it to a stop in a safe and controlled manner. Overall, the landing was considered to be highly effective and demonstrated a high level of skill and expertise on the part of the pilot.
