MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 11,537 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,207 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Boeing B737-800 began with a 12-minute taxi from the parking area to runway 17L at KDEN Denver International Airport. The departure roll covered 1 nm and the takeoff distance was 6,256 ft, utilizing 52% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 142 kt. The local weather at departure was 85 °F with a 7 kt wind at 118 °, resulting in a 6 kt crosswind and 3 kt headwind.
The enroute climb started 2 miles southeast of KDEN Denver International Airport, climbing from 6,283 ft to 38,028 ft in 17 minutes, covering 111 nm. The enroute level cruise began 6 miles north of Gypsum, lasting 82 minutes and covering 609 nm.
The enroute descent started 6 miles west of Yosemite Valley, descending from 38,008 ft to 1,312 ft in 24 minutes, covering 125 nm. The final approach to runway 28R at KSFO San Francisco International Airport was from the southeast at 4 nm and at an altitude of 1,289 ft agl.
The landing on runway 28R at KSFO was successful, with a runway length of 11,537 ft. The threshold speed was good at 135 kt, and the touchdown distance was 1,217 ft with a speed of 127 kt. The touchdown rate was fair at -248 ft/m. The total landing distance was 3,503 ft, utilizing 30% of the runway.
After landing, the taxi to the parking area took 6 minutes, covering less than 1 nm. The total flight distance was 854 nm, taking 149 minutes and using 11,848 lbs of fuel. Overall, the flight in the Boeing B737-800 was smooth and successful, with efficient operations throughout the journey.
The final approach to runway 28R at KSFO was executed from the southeast, maintaining a heading of 298.0° at 4 nm and 1,289 ft AGL. The aircraft approached with a threshold speed of 135 kt, which was within the acceptable range for the conditions. The touchdown occurred at a distance of 1,217 ft from the threshold, with a touchdown speed of 127 kt and a touchdown rate of –248 fpm, indicating a controlled and stable descent.
Upon contact, the aircraft remained aligned with the runway centreline, achieving a very good touchdown alignment. The rollout phase was smooth, with the runway touchdown alignment described as perfect. The total landing distance was 3,503 ft, representing 30 % of the available runway length of 11,537 ft, demonstrating efficient use of the available surface.
Overall, the landing performance was rated at 98.3 %. The approach quality, threshold speed, touchdown characteristics, centreline alignment, and rollout all contributed to this high score, reflecting a well-executed landing under the prevailing weather conditions of 68 °F, 4 kt wind from 305°, a 1 kt crosswind, and a 4 kt headwind.
