Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,020 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,020 m of the 3,501 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 675 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Airbus A319 taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Frankfurt Airport, taking approximately 8 minutes and covering a distance of 4 nautical miles. Departure roll took place on runway 18, with a takeoff distance of 1,086 meters, which accounted for 27% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 162 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 3 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 270 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 0 knots. As the aircraft took to the skies, it began its enroute climb, starting 2 miles west of Moerfelden-Walldorf in the state of Hessen, Germany. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 1,346 feet above sea level to 35,620 feet, an increase of 34,273 feet, in just 16 minutes and covering a distance of 99 nautical miles.
Following the initial climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, starting 2 miles northwest of Oberwolfach in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. This phase lasted for 14 minutes and covered a distance of 97 nautical miles. The aircraft then began another climb, this time starting 1 mile west of Cudrefin in the Canton de Vaud, Switzerland. The climb took the aircraft from an altitude of 35,898 feet to 37,179 feet, an increase of 1,281 feet, in just 2 minutes and covering a distance of 14 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, starting 1 mile east of Yverdon-les-Bains in the Canton de Vaud, Switzerland. This phase lasted for 30 minutes and covered a distance of 191 nautical miles. As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its descent, starting 2 miles north of Chaudes-Aigues in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France. The descent took the aircraft from an altitude of 37,117 feet to 1,820 feet, a decrease of 35,296 feet, in 27 minutes and covering a distance of 105 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 32L at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport took place from the southeast, with the aircraft heading 323.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,311 feet above ground level and a distance of 4 nautical miles from the runway. The landing took place on runway 32L, which had a length of 3,501 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 138 knots.
The touchdown point was 261 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 130 knots, which was considered good. However, the touchdown rate was fair at -248 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, and the runway rollout alignment was perfect. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots from a direction of 250 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a headwind of 1 knot.
The total landing distance was 1,942 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking area, taking approximately 4 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 515 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 101 minutes. The aircraft used a total of 3,565 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, scoring a high 95.4% on its performance. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 323.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,311 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was executed with precision, and the aircraft landed safely on runway 32L, which has a length of 3,501 meters.
The threshold height was satisfactory, and the threshold speed was maintained at a good 138 knots. The touchdown point was located 261 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is slightly beyond the ideal position but still within acceptable limits. The touchdown speed of 130 knots was also good, indicating that the aircraft was properly configured for landing.
However, the touchdown rate of -248 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the aircraft may have experienced a slightly higher-than-desired rate of descent during the final stages of the approach. Nevertheless, the runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 12°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from 250°. The crosswind component was 3 knots, while the headwind component was 1 knot. These conditions were favorable for the landing, and the aircraft was able to maintain a stable approach.
The total landing distance of 1,942 meters was 55% of the runway length, which is a reasonable distance considering the aircraft's size and weight. The runway rollout alignment was perfect, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain a stable and controlled rollout after touchdown. Overall, the landing was a success, and the aircraft performed well under the given conditions.
