MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Know your rotation speed
A typical trainer rotates in the mid-50s of knots - a 172 at around 55 KIAS, climbing out at a Vy in the low 70s, though check your own POH rather than memorising Cessna's numbers - and the transferable rule is that Vr sits just above the stall speed in takeoff configuration. Rotate early because "it felt ready" and the aircraft lifts off inside ground effect, where induced drag is reduced, then climbs out of it into more drag. On a marginal-performance day the result is an aircraft that lifts off and then refuses to climb, sagging back towards the runway.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 1,891 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 343 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 12 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, an Airbus A319, then departed from runway 26L at EDDM Munich Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,400 meters, which is 35% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 152 knots, and the local weather conditions at the time of departure were a temperature of -0°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 150°.
As the aircraft climbed to a higher altitude, it began its enroute climb from an initial altitude of 2,494 feet above sea level (asl) to 20,981 ft asl, an increase of 18,487 feet in just 7 minutes. This climb covered a distance of 33 nautical miles. The enroute climb started overhead Hallbergmoos in Bavaria, Germany.
After reaching the desired altitude, the aircraft began its enroute descent from 21,238 ft asl to 3,949 ft asl, a decrease of 17,289 feet in 9 minutes. This descent covered a distance of 34 nautical miles and started 2 miles southeast of Irschenberg in Bavaria, Germany.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise phase, which lasted for 16 minutes and covered a distance of 5 nautical miles. This cruise phase started overhead Mils bei Solbad Hall in Tirol, Austria.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its final approach to runway 26 at LOWI Innsbruck Airport from the east, heading 265.0° at 3 nautical miles and 889 feet above ground level (agl). The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of -5°C, with a wind speed of 3 knots at 260°.
The aircraft landed on runway 26 at LOWI Innsbruck Airport, which has a length of 1,891 meters. The threshold height at 56 ft agl was slightly above the target, and the threshold speed was well above the target at 149 knots. The touchdown distance was good at 345 meters, but the touchdown speed at 142 knots was a little fast. The touchdown rate was firm at -384 feet per minute (fpm), and the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 4.3 meters from the centerline.
The total landing distance was 1,042 meters, which is 55% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was very good. After landing, the aircraft taxiied to the parking from the runway, which took 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The total flight distance was 79 nautical miles, and the flight duration was 29 minutes. The aircraft used 1,229 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Airbus A319 successfully landed at Innsbruck Airport (LOWI) with a score of 94.6%. The aircraft approached the runway from the east, heading 265.0° at a distance of 3 nautical miles and an altitude of 889 feet above ground level (agl). The final approach was made to runway 26, which has a length of 1,891 meters.
Upon landing, the aircraft touched down at a speed of 142 knots, which was slightly above the target speed. The touchdown distance was good, measuring 345 meters. However, the touchdown rate was firm, indicating a relatively steep descent. The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned from the centerline by 4.3 meters.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -5°C and a wind speed of 3 knots from a direction of 260°. This resulted in a negligible crosswind component and a headwind of 3 knots. The aircraft's performance was not significantly affected by the wind conditions.
The total landing distance was 1,042 meters, which accounted for 55% of the runway length. This indicates that the aircraft was able to stop within a reasonable distance after touchdown. The runway rollout alignment was very good, suggesting that the pilot maintained control of the aircraft during the landing roll.
Overall, the landing was successful, with the aircraft touching down safely and coming to a stop within a reasonable distance. However, there were some minor deviations from the target parameters, including a slightly fast touchdown speed and a firm touchdown rate.
