Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,552 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,552 m of the 2,736 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 542 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 4 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Cessna Longitude, then departed from runway 08 at Missoula International Airport (KMSO). The takeoff distance was 591 meters, which accounted for 42% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 126 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 6 knots at a direction of 69 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 5 knots. The aircraft began its enroute climb 1 mile east of KMSO, rising from an altitude of 4,241 feet above sea level to 24,767 feet above sea level, an increase of 20,525 feet, in just 5 minutes and covering a distance of 25 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise started 4 miles east of Camas Airport (MT73) and lasted for 7 minutes, during which the aircraft covered a distance of 55 nautical miles. The enroute descent began overhead Fort Harrison Army Airfield (MT15), where the aircraft descended from 24,773 feet above sea level to 5,718 feet above sea level, a decrease of 19,055 feet, in 12 minutes and covering a distance of 60 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 12 at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (KBZN) was made from the northwest, with a heading of 136.0 degrees at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown point 120 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 97 knots, which was considered good, while the touchdown rate was fair at -205 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at a direction of 270 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,465 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 3 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 147 nautical miles and lasted for 36 minutes, using 544 kilograms of fuel.
The Cessna Longitude successfully landed at KBZN Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, achieving a high score of 98.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the northwest, heading 136.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,282 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, taking into account the local weather conditions.
The temperature at the time of landing was 6°C, with a wind speed of 4 knots from 270°. This resulted in a crosswind of 3 knots and a tailwind of 3 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was maintained at 111 knots, indicating a well-executed approach.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 120 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a speed of 97 knots. Although the touchdown rate was fair at -205 feet per minute (fpm), the runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control. The total landing distance was 1,465 meters, which accounted for 54% of the runway length.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, indicating that the pilot maintained control and alignment during the rollout phase. Overall, the landing was executed with precision and skill, resulting in a high score of 98.3%.
