MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,046 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 502 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took approximately 2 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft, a Boeing 737-600, then departed from runway 23 at KFWA Fort Wayne International Airport. The takeoff distance was 1,049 meters, which accounted for 29% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 148 knots.
The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 11 knots at 309 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 11 knots and a headwind of 1 knot. The aircraft then began its enroute climb, which started overhead KFWA Fort Wayne International Airport. The climb took 32 minutes and covered 263 nautical miles, with the aircraft ascending from 1,819 feet above sea level to 38,152 feet above sea level, an increase of 36,332 feet.
Following the enroute climb, the aircraft entered a level cruise phase, which started 2 miles east of PN49 Dunbar Airport in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. This phase lasted for 243 minutes and covered 930 nautical miles. The aircraft then began its enroute descent, which started 37 miles northeast of Glace Bay in Nova Scotia, Canada. The descent took 14 minutes and covered 106 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 38,964 feet above sea level to 13,245 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,719 feet.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise phase, which started 11 miles south of Stephenville Crossing in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This phase lasted for 91 minutes and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then began its final descent, which started 11 miles south of Stephenville Crossing. The descent took 8 minutes and covered 15 nautical miles, with the aircraft descending from 13,245 feet above sea level to 1,367 feet above sea level, a decrease of 11,877 feet.
The final approach to runway 27 at CYJT Dymond Airport was made from the east, with the aircraft heading 251.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,304 feet above ground level. The landing was made on runway 27, which had a length of 3,046 meters. The threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was slightly above the target at 140 knots. The touchdown point was 86 meters beyond the touchdown zone, and the touchdown speed was 135 knots, which was a little fast. However, the touchdown rate was good at -195 feet per minute, and the runway touchdown alignment was perfect.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of -9 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 4 knots at 280 degrees. This resulted in a crosswind of 2 knots and a headwind of 3 knots. The total landing distance was 1,040 meters, which accounted for 34% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
In total, the flight covered a distance of 1,321 nautical miles and took 169 minutes. The aircraft used 6,780 kilograms of fuel during the flight.
The Boeing 737-600 aircraft successfully landed at CYJT Dymond Airport, achieving a high score of 99.4%. The final approach to runway 27 was conducted from the east, with a heading of 251.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,304 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft's approach was characterized by a good threshold height, indicating that the pilots maintained a stable and controlled descent.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was slightly above the target speed of 140 knots, which may have contributed to a slightly faster touchdown speed of 135 knots. However, the touchdown rate of -195 feet per minute (fpm) was considered good, indicating that the aircraft's descent was controlled and smooth. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, demonstrating the pilots' skill and attention to detail.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were cold, with a temperature of -9°C, and a light wind of 4 knots from 280°. The crosswind component was minimal at 2 knots, while the headwind component was 3 knots. These conditions likely contributed to a relatively smooth and stable approach.
The total landing distance of 1,040 meters was 34% of the runway length, indicating that the aircraft touched down and came to a stop within a reasonable distance. The runway rollout alignment was also perfect, demonstrating the pilots' ability to maintain control of the aircraft during the critical phase of landing.
Overall, the landing was considered successful, with the aircraft achieving a high score and demonstrating good control and stability throughout the approach and touchdown phases.
