Improve the rollout
A crosswind landing is a geometry problem. The air mass you're flying in is moving sideways across the runway, and you need your ground track down the centreline with your wheels aligned to it at the moment of contact. There are two techniques that will help, the crab and the sideslip.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,724 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,724 m of the 2,914 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 679 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question began with a taxiing period from the parking to the runway, which took 10 minutes and covered a distance of 2 nautical miles. The aircraft, Vueling's EC-MGZ, then departed from runway 07 at LIBD Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport, a small airport in Italy. The takeoff distance was 1,499 meters, which accounted for 61% of the runway. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 155 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 12°C temperature and winds of 13 knots at 19°. The crosswind was 10 knots, while the headwind was 9 knots. The enroute climb started over the airport, where the aircraft ascended from 1,093 feet above sea level to 28,759 feet, a total increase of 27,667 feet in 13 minutes, covering a distance of 51 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered a level cruise, starting 2 miles northeast of Avigliano, Italy, and lasted for 73 minutes, covering a distance of 494 nautical miles. The cruise was followed by a descent, which began 73 miles northeast of Ferreries, Spain, and ended at 4,546 feet above sea level, a decrease of 25,073 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 102 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 17 miles southeast of Premia de Mar, Spain, and lasted for 5 minutes, covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. This was followed by another descent, which began 10 miles southeast of Mataro, Spain, and ended at 2,325 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,719 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another level cruise, starting 5 miles southeast of Vilassar de Mar, Spain, and lasted for 4 minutes, covering a distance of 15 nautical miles. The final approach to runway 24R at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport began from the northeast, heading 246.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,292 feet above ground level.
The landing on runway 24R was successful, with a touchdown point 263 meters beyond the touchdown zone. The touchdown speed was 126 knots, which was good, and the touchdown rate was smooth at -123 feet per minute. However, the runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned by 15.3 meters from the centerline. The local weather conditions at the time of landing were 16°C temperature and winds of 8 knots at 330°.
The total landing distance was 1,643 meters, which accounted for 56% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was also misaligned by 15.5 meters from the centerline. The taxiing period from the runway to the parking took 7 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 685 nautical miles, taking 134 minutes, and the aircraft used 4,567 kilograms of fuel.
The aircraft, Vueling EC-MGZ, successfully landed at LEBL Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport on runway 24R. The final approach was initiated from the north east, heading 246.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,292 feet above ground level. The aircraft maintained a good threshold height and speed, touching down at 136 knots, which is within the acceptable range.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft landed 263 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, with a speed of 126 knots. The touchdown rate was smooth, at -123 feet per minute, indicating a controlled descent. However, the runway touchdown position was significantly misaligned from the centerline, deviating by 15.3 meters. This misalignment could be attributed to factors such as wind, pilot error, or aircraft performance.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 16°C and a gentle wind of 8 knots from 330°. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was minimal at 1 knot. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing.
The total landing distance covered by the aircraft was 1,643 meters, which is 56% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating that the aircraft was able to maintain control and slow down efficiently. However, the runway rollout alignment was also misaligned from the centerline, deviating by 15.5 meters. This could be a concern for the aircraft's stability and control during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing was successful, but there were some notable deviations from the ideal touchdown and rollout positions. These deviations could be addressed through further training or adjustments to the aircraft's performance.
