Maintain the centreline
A small uncorrected heading error at 40 knots becomes a metre of offset per second by 100 knots, noticed only at rotation, producing a crabbed liftoff. Root cause is nearly always eyes on the tape instead of the far end of the runway. Small heading changes displace a distant point visibly long before the nearby centreline stripes look wrong.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 4,892 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the full 4,892 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 1,491 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with a short taxiing period from the parking area to the runway, which lasted only 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile. The aircraft then took off from runway 19R at General Mitchell International Airport (KMKE) and lifted off the ground at a speed of 159 knots. The takeoff distance was 3,161 feet, accounting for 36% of the available runway.
During the flight, the aircraft flew through local weather conditions with a temperature of 64 degrees Fahrenheit and wind speeds of 2 knots at 270 degrees. The climb from the takeoff altitude of 1,723 feet above sea level to 25,064 feet was steep, covering an impressive 23,342 feet in just 10 minutes and spanning 63 nautical miles.
After leveling off the aircraft continued its enroute cruise for another 41 minutes, covering a significant distance of 340 nautical miles. The descent phase that followed started 4 miles northeast of Jackson County Gainesboro Airport (KCHA) and continued for 16 minutes, as the aircraft descended from 25,001 feet to 1,943 feet in a distance of 82 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 15 at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (KCHA) was executed from the northwest at a heading of 146.0 degrees. Upon landing, the aircraft touched down on the runway threshold with a speed slightly below target at 113 knots, covering a touchdown distance of 1,487 feet. This was considered good, given the runway length of 4,892 feet.
The aircraft performed another successful landing, bringing the total landing distance to 3,156 feet, accounting for approximately 65% of the available runway. The touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was exceptionally good, indicating a smooth and controlled landing. Following the landing, the aircraft taxied back to the parking area, which took less than 1 minute and covered less than 1 nautical mile.
The flight summary shows that the aircraft traveled a total distance of 491 nautical miles in a duration of 71 minutes, consuming 0 pounds of fuel.
Aircraft C750 successfully landed at KCHA Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (Lovell Field) on runway 15, demonstrating a high level of precision and control. The approach to the runway was initiated from a height of 1,257 feet above ground level (agl) and a distance of 4 nautical miles (nm) from the runway threshold, with a heading of 146.0°. These conditions indicated a straightforward and stable final approach phase.
During the final approach, the aircraft maintained a good threshold height, indicating proper altitude management by the pilot. However, the threshold speed was slightly below the targeted value, registering at 113 knots (kt) instead of the desired speed. Despite this minor deviation, the touchdown distance of 1,487 feet was well within acceptable limits, ensuring a safe and controlled landing.
As the aircraft touched down, it reached a speed of 102 kt, which was within the target range, and achieved a touchdown rate of -161 feet per minute (fpm), signifying a smooth deceleration upon touchdown. The runway touchdown alignment was spot on, with the aircraft perfectly aligned with the runway centerline. Local weather conditions were favorable for landing, with temperatures at 59°F and minimal wind at 2 kt from 270°.
In relation to the runway length of 4,892 ft, the total landing distance of 3,156 ft was just 65% of the runway, demonstrating excellent braking and deceleration performance by the aircraft. Furthermore, the runway rollout alignment was excellent, showcasing the pilot's ability to maintain control and stability upon touchdown. Overall, this landing scored a high 98.9%, reflecting the pilot's skillful execution of the landing and the aircraft's excellent performance.
