MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,707 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 412 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the RJ85 CityJet aircraft taxiing from the parking to the runway at Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, taking 6 minutes and covering a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 04R, with a takeoff distance of 1,186 meters, which was 40% of the runway length. The aircraft lifted off at a speed of 139 knots.
As the aircraft climbed to its cruising altitude, it encountered local weather conditions of 13°C temperature and a wind speed of 7 knots at 320 degrees. The crosswind was 7 knots, while the headwind was 1 knot. The enroute climb started overhead Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport, with the aircraft ascending from 1,026 feet above sea level to 28,845 feet above sea level, an increase of 27,819 feet in 23 minutes, covering a distance of 139 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 1 mile south east of Maleo, Italy, and lasted for 43 minutes, covering a distance of 286 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent overhead Stadlern, Germany, descending from 28,416 feet above sea level to 3,876 feet above sea level, a decrease of 24,541 feet in 18 minutes, covering a distance of 90 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, this time overhead Zaryby, Czech Republic, lasting for 2 minutes and covering 5 nautical miles. The final enroute descent started overhead Boranovice, Czech Republic, with the aircraft descending from 3,815 feet above sea level to 2,442 feet above sea level, a decrease of 1,373 feet in 3 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 24 at Václav Havel Airport Prague was made from the north east, heading 245.0 degrees at 4 nautical miles and 1,243 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway length of 3,707 meters, with a threshold height of good, threshold speed of 114 knots, and touchdown distance of 413 meters. The touchdown speed was 100 knots, and the touchdown rate was firm at -385 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.7 meters from the centreline, and the local weather conditions were -1°C temperature and a wind speed of 27 knots at 289 degrees. The crosswind was 19 knots, while the headwind was 19 knots. The total landing distance was 1,007 meters, which was 27% of the runway length. The runway rollout alignment was slightly misaligned by 9.4 meters from the centreline.
The aircraft then taxiied to the parking from the runway, taking 4 minutes and covering a distance of less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 533 nautical miles, taking 102 minutes, and the aircraft used 3,602 kilograms of fuel.
The RJ85 aircraft, operated by CityJet, successfully landed at Václav Havel Airport Prague (LKPR) with a score of 93.2%. The final approach was conducted from the north-east, heading 245.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,243 feet above ground level (agl). The aircraft was on a steady course for runway 24, which has a length of 3,707 meters.
Upon touchdown, the threshold height was good, and the threshold speed was also satisfactory at 114 knots. The touchdown distance of 413 meters was within acceptable limits, and the touchdown speed of 100 knots was also good. However, the touchdown rate was slightly firm at -385 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slight loss of control during the landing.
Despite the good overall performance, there were some minor issues with the landing. The runway touchdown position was misaligned by 9.7 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the aircraft's course during the final approach. Additionally, the runway rollout alignment was also slightly misaligned by 9.4 meters from the centerline.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were characterized by a temperature of -1°C and a wind speed of 27 knots from a direction of 289°. This resulted in a crosswind of 19 knots and a headwind of 19 knots, which may have affected the aircraft's performance during the landing. However, the pilots were able to successfully navigate the aircraft and bring it to a safe stop within 1,007 meters, which is 27% of the runway length. Overall, the landing was considered good, but with some minor areas for improvement.
