Work on the flare
Arrive slow and the sink rate at the threshold is already above schedule, the flare is short because there is no energy to extend it, and the touchdown is hard in a way that feels exactly like a late flare. Diagnosing a slow arrival as a late flare is the catastrophic misread: you respond by flaring earlier, which bleeds more speed, which makes the next one worse. The tiebreaker is threshold speed against VRef, not feel. Never diagnose a flare without it.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 2,096 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 2,096 m of the 2,738 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 602 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the aircraft, an Airbus A319, taxiing from the parking area to the runway at Monterrey International Airport (MMMY). This process took approximately 8 minutes and covered a distance of 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 11, with the aircraft lifting off at a speed of 149 knots. The local weather conditions at the time of departure were characterized by a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, with a wind speed of 12 knots at a direction of 50 degrees.
As the aircraft climbed away from the airport, it began its enroute climb, which started approximately 1 mile south east of MMMY. The aircraft climbed from an altitude of 2,260 feet above sea level to 9,263 feet above sea level, an increase of 7,003 feet, in just 3 minutes and covering a distance of 8 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise that followed lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of 7 nautical miles, starting approximately 3 miles north west of Cadereyta Jimenez.
The aircraft then began another enroute climb, this time from an altitude of 9,265 feet above sea level to 38,287 feet above sea level, an increase of 29,022 feet, in 18 minutes and covering a distance of 106 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise that followed lasted for 135 minutes and covered a distance of 727 nautical miles, starting approximately 2 miles north east of America.
As the aircraft approached its destination, it began its enroute descent, which started approximately 7 miles south west of Maplesville, Alabama. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 38,110 feet above sea level to 19,891 feet above sea level, a decrease of 18,219 feet, in 11 minutes and covering a distance of 70 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise that followed lasted for 2 minutes and covered a distance of less than 1 nautical mile, starting approximately 6 miles east of New Site.
The aircraft then began another enroute descent, which started approximately 6 miles east of New Site. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 19,858 feet above sea level to 12,580 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,277 feet, in 7 minutes and covering a distance of 42 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise that followed lasted for 3 minutes and covered a distance of 18 nautical miles, starting approximately 2 miles south east of 26GA Murphree Airport.
As the aircraft continued its approach to its destination, it began its final enroute descent, which started overhead 51GA Smith Field. The aircraft descended from an altitude of 12,318 feet above sea level to 4,688 feet above sea level, a decrease of 7,630 feet, in 5 minutes and covering a distance of 27 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise that followed lasted for 5 minutes and covered a distance of 11 nautical miles, starting approximately 4 miles east of 3GA0 Grant Airport.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 27L at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL), from the east, heading 270.0 degrees at an altitude of 4 nautical miles and 1,239 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway length of 2,738 meters, with the threshold height being well above the target. The threshold speed was good at 126 knots.
The touchdown point was 165 meters beyond the touchdown zone, with a touchdown speed of 112 knots, which was good. However, the touchdown rate was hard at -452 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, despite the local weather conditions, which included a temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and a
The Airbus A319 aircraft successfully landed on runway 27L at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL) with a score of 82.1%. The final approach was initiated from the east, heading 270.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,239 feet above ground level (agl).
The aircraft's performance during the landing was satisfactory, with the threshold height being well above the target, indicating a safe margin for the aircraft to touch down. The threshold speed was also good, at 126 knots, which is within the acceptable range for a safe landing. The touchdown point was 165 meters beyond the touchdown zone, which is slightly off-center but not significantly impacting the overall landing performance.
The touchdown speed of 112 knots was also within the acceptable range, indicating a controlled descent. However, the touchdown rate was hard, at -452 feet per minute (fpm), which may indicate a slightly aggressive descent. The runway touchdown alignment was very good, indicating that the aircraft was properly aligned with the runway.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were favorable, with a temperature of 28°C and a wind speed of 9 knots at 210°. The crosswind component was 8 knots, while the headwind component was 5 knots. These conditions did not appear to significantly impact the landing performance.
The total landing distance was 1,995 meters, which is 73% of the runway length. This is a relatively short landing distance, indicating a good performance from the aircraft. However, the runway rollout alignment was misaligned by 18.9 meters from the centerline, which may indicate a slight deviation from the intended path during the rollout phase.
Overall, the landing performance of the Airbus A319 aircraft was satisfactory, with some minor deviations from the ideal performance. However, the aircraft was able to safely land on the runway, and the deviations did not appear to significantly impact the overall safety of the operation.
