MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Slow down before tight turns
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 5,000 ft of the approach.
Plan view — the first 5,000 ft of the 9,157 ft runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 937 ft touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with taxiing from the parking to the runway at Kayseri Erkilet Airport, taking 4 minutes and covering 3 nautical miles. The aircraft, a Vision Jet, then departed from runway 07, with a takeoff distance of 2,335 feet, which was 24% of the runway length. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
As the aircraft climbed, it started enroute climb 1 mile east of the airport, rising from 4,472 feet above sea level to 31,587 feet, an increase of 27,115 feet in 21 minutes, covering 71 nautical miles. The local weather conditions at the time were a temperature of 63°F, with a wind speed of 6 knots at 59°.
The enroute level cruise began 11 miles northwest of Gurun, Turkey, and lasted 39 minutes, covering 230 nautical miles. The aircraft then started its enroute descent 3 miles southwest of Siirt Airport, descending from 31,941 feet to 5,626 feet, a decrease of 26,315 feet in 15 minutes, covering 28 nautical miles.
The aircraft then entered another enroute level cruise, this time starting 4 miles southeast of Dargecit, Turkey, and lasting only 2 minutes, covering 4 nautical miles. The enroute descent began 7 miles north of Idil, Turkey, with the aircraft descending from 5,511 feet to 3,267 feet, a decrease of 2,245 feet in 3 minutes, covering 7 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 11 at Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport was made from the west, heading 115.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,221 feet above ground level. The landing was successful, with a touchdown distance of 933 feet, which was 42% of the runway length. The touchdown speed was 63 knots, and the touchdown rate was -199 feet per minute.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were a temperature of 93°F, with a wind speed of 12 knots at 320°. The crosswind was 5 knots, and the tailwind was 11 knots. The runway touchdown alignment was perfect, and the runway rollout alignment was very good. The total landing distance was 3,803 feet.
After landing, the aircraft taxied to the parking, taking 1 minute and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 348 nautical miles, taking 89 minutes, and the aircraft used 589 pounds of fuel.
The Vision Jet has successfully landed at LTCV Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport, achieving a high score of 97.8%. The aircraft approached the runway from the west, heading 115.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,221 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot executed a precise final approach, aligning the aircraft with the runway threshold.
Upon landing, the Vision Jet demonstrated excellent performance, touching down on the runway at a speed of 71 knots, which is within the acceptable threshold speed range. The touchdown distance of 933 feet was also within the expected parameters, indicating a smooth and controlled descent. The touchdown speed of 63 knots was good, and the rate of descent at -199 feet per minute (fpm) was also satisfactory.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were characterized by a temperature of 93°F and a wind speed of 12 knots from 320°. This resulted in a crosswind of 5 knots and a tailwind of 11 knots, which the pilot effectively managed during the landing. The total landing distance of 3,803 feet was 42% of the runway length, indicating a relatively short landing roll.
The runway rollout alignment was very good, demonstrating the pilot's skill and control during the landing phase. Overall, the Vision Jet's performance during this landing was impressive, with the pilot executing a precise and controlled approach, touchdown, and rollout. The high score of 97.8% reflects the aircraft's capabilities and the pilot's expertise in handling the Vision Jet.
