MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with five checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
At the 500 ft gate: sink rate above what the glideslope needed.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,593 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,593 m of the 2,483 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
Touched down 699 m past the threshold — beyond the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in question started with a departure roll on runway 21 from EDSB Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport in Germany. The aircraft, a C750, successfully took off after accelerating to a liftoff speed of 134 knots, covering a takeoff distance of 586 meters, or 24% of the available runway.
During the enroute climb, the aircraft began its ascent overhead EDSB Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport, rising from 1,417 feet above sea level to 2,072 feet in just 2 minutes, covering a distance of 5 nautical miles. This marked the beginning of the enroute level cruise, which lasted for 7 minutes and covered 10 nautical miles while flying 1 mile northwest of the town of Ottersweier.
The aircraft then began its final approach to runway 21, navigating the airfield from the northeast, with a bearing of 212.0 degrees at an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level, located 4 nautical miles from the airport. Unfortunately, the aircraft encountered an issue during this approach and was forced to perform a go-around while still at an altitude of 250 feet.
Upon completing the go-around, the aircraft reinitiated its final approach, and successfully landed on runway 21. The aircraft's touchdown speed was 99 knots, while its touchdown rate was an impressive -89 feet per minute. The runway touchdown alignment was excellent, and the landing distance was 1,503 meters, or 61% of the available runway.
The aircraft then taxied to its designated parking spot, covering less than 1 nautical mile in just 2 minutes. The total flight distance was 28 nautical miles, and the entire operation utilized 654 kilograms of fuel. Notably, the local weather conditions remained relatively consistent throughout the flight, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 18°C, and wind speeds averaging 10 knots, blowing from variable directions.
The landing of Aircraft C750 at Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport was overall successful, with a high score of 97.1%. The aircraft approached runway 21 from the northeast, aligning with the heading of 212.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,270 feet above ground level (agl). The crew executed a smooth landing on the 2,483-meter runway, which is significantly long for a landing.
The crew maintained a good threshold height, ensuring a controlled descent into the runway. However, the aircraft's touchdown speed was slightly below the target speed at 113 kt, which might have had some implications for the overall performance of the landing. In particular, this might have led to a slightly longer landing roll.
The touchdown point was located 274 meters beyond the designated touchdown zone, which is not far from the ideal position. The aircraft's touchdown speed was well within the target range at 99 kt, and the touchdown rate was remarkably good at -89 fpm, indicating an effective deceleration upon contact with the runway. The runway's touchdown alignment was extremely accurate, suggesting exceptional piloting skills.
The local weather conditions at the time of landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 18 °C and wind of 10 kt blowing from a northwest direction. The crosswind was minimal at 6 kt, but the aircraft encountered a moderate headwind of 8 kt, which had a negligible effect on the overall landing performance.
The total landing distance was 1,503 meters, which represents only 61% of the runway's length. This indicates an excellent control and braking performance, allowing the aircraft to come to a stop in a relatively short distance. The runway rollout alignment was maintained throughout the landing, and the crew ensured a smooth and controlled deceleration, contributing to the overall score.
