Monitor your taxi speed
Twenty knots on a monitor produces the visual sensation of about ten. The advice to "taxi at a walking pace" cannot fix this, because your sense of walking pace is exactly the thing that's broken. Put the groundspeed readout in your scan and obey it for the next fifty flights, the way a student pilot leans on the airspeed indicator before learning to read attitude.

One stabilised approach gate: five checks where the approach path is 500 ft above the runway. The 1,000 ft gate was not assessed, because the approach did not join final that far out.
Side view — the last 1,799 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,799 m of the 3,123 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 149 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight in the Airbus A320 from Frankfurt Airport to Lisbon Portela Airport was smooth and efficient. The taxiing from the parking to the runway was quick, taking 9 minutes to cover 5 nm. The departure roll from runway 18 was successful, with the aircraft using 33% of the runway for a takeoff distance of 1,320 m. The liftoff speed was 163 kn, with a slight crosswind of 2 kn and tailwind of 1 kn.
The enroute climb was steady, starting 2 miles west of Moerfelden-Walldorf and reaching an altitude of 35,124 ft in 19 minutes, covering 106 nm. The level cruise was long, lasting 134 minutes and covering 802 nm over Wallonia, Belgium. The descent began near Campo de Besteiros in Portugal, decreasing from 34,788 ft to 15,480 ft in 16 minutes over a distance of 84 nm.
After a brief level cruise near Caldas da Rainha, the descent continued, dropping from 15,480 ft to 13,079 ft in 4 minutes over 14 nm. Another short level cruise near Peniche was followed by a descent from 12,625 ft to 2,670 ft in 11 minutes over 33 nm. The landing on runway 20 at Lisbon Portela Airport was successful, with a touchdown speed of 129 kn and a smooth landing just 151 m from the threshold.
Overall, the flight covered a total distance of 1,056 nm in 256 minutes and consumed 6,758 kg of fuel. The aircraft performed well in various stages of the flight, from takeoff to landing, showcasing the efficiency and reliability of the Airbus A320.
Congratulations on achieving an impressive aircraft landing score of 99.9%! This high score reflects the exceptional performance during each phase of the landing process.
Starting with the Approach Phase, it is commendable that the glideslope alignment was excellent. This indicates that the aircraft maintained the correct descent angle and stayed on course throughout the approach to the runway.
Moving on to the Landing Phase, the threshold height was good, allowing for a smooth transition from descent to touchdown. The perfect landing flare demonstrates precise control and timing, ensuring a soft and controlled touchdown on the runway.
In the Touchdown Phase, the touchdown rate was good, meaning that the aircraft landed at an appropriate vertical speed. Additionally, maintaining the target speed during touchdown speaks to the pilot's skill in managing the aircraft's energy and speed. The touchdown distance inside the touchdown zone and the runway touchdown position being 2.1 meters from the centerline indicates excellent alignment and accuracy during the critical moment of contact with the runway.
Finally, in the Rollout Phase, the runway alignment was very good, further demonstrating the pilot's ability to maintain control and direction on the runway. Consistent alignment throughout the rollout phase is essential for a safe and efficient landing.
Overall, this high landing score is a testament to the pilot's proficiency and attention to detail during each phase of the landing process. Keep up the excellent work and continue striving for precision and excellence in every flight.
