MY FS FLIGHTS
Flight Score
Smooth the climb
A good takeoff has a defined shape. It also has a defined end. For an airliner that's thrust reduction and acceleration, commonly somewhere around 1,000 to 1,500 ft above the airfield depending on the operator, while for a light aircraft it's established at Vy with the flaps on schedule. Most simmers have no defined end to their takeoff, which is exactly why it never gets judged.

The threshold, the flare and the hold-off. The approach that led to it is the stabilisation gates below.
Two stabilised approach gates, each with seven checks, where the approach path is 1,000 ft and 500 ft above the runway.
The approach, gate by gate
Side view — the last 1,524 m of the approach.
Plan view — the first 1,524 m of the 3,638 m runway, to the same scale as the side view.
The 295 m touchdown sits inside the full-score zone. The arrival was smooth.
The rest of the report
The flight began with the Beechcraft Duke taxiing from the parking area to the runway at UKKK Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airport (Zhuliany), taking approximately 2 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The departure roll took place on runway 08, with a takeoff distance of 607 meters, which accounted for 29% of the runway. The liftoff speed was 94 knots.
As the aircraft took to the skies, it encountered local weather conditions of 12°C temperature and a wind speed of 6 knots at 320°. The crosswind was 5 knots, while the tailwind was 3 knots. The enroute climb started overhead the airport, with the aircraft ascending from 990 feet above sea level to 13,832 feet above sea level, an increase of 12,841 feet in 11 minutes, covering a distance of 22 nautical miles.
The enroute level cruise began 9 miles east of Dymer, lasting 56 minutes and covering 156 nautical miles. The aircraft then entered a descent phase, starting 7 miles west of UMBR Bobruisk Aeroclub Babruysk, where it descended from 13,750 feet above sea level to 3,176 feet above sea level, a decrease of 10,574 feet in 9 minutes, covering 29 nautical miles. The enroute level cruise resumed 7 miles east of Puchavicy, lasting 9 minutes and covering 19 nautical miles.
The final approach to runway 31L at UMMS Minsk National Airport was made from the south-east, heading 319.0° at 4 nautical miles and 1,278 feet above ground level. The landing took place on a runway with a length of 3,638 meters, and the threshold height was good. The threshold speed was also good at 94 knots, while the touchdown distance was 296 meters. The touchdown speed was 84 knots, which was considered good, but the touchdown rate was fair at -225 feet per minute.
The runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centreline, and the local weather conditions were 11°C temperature and a wind speed of 4 knots at 340°, with a crosswind of 1 knot and a headwind of 4 knots. The total landing distance was 1,309 meters, accounting for 36% of the runway. The runway rollout alignment was very good.
The flight concluded with the aircraft taxiing to the parking area from the runway, taking approximately 3 minutes and covering less than 1 nautical mile. The total flight distance was 232 nautical miles, taking 79 minutes, and the aircraft used 165 kilograms of fuel.
The Beechcraft Duke successfully landed at UMMS Minsk National Airport, achieving a high score of 98.3%. The aircraft approached the runway from the southeast, heading 319.0° at a distance of 4 nautical miles and an altitude of 1,278 feet above ground level (agl). The pilot maintained a good threshold height, which is a crucial aspect of a safe landing.
Upon touchdown, the aircraft's threshold speed was recorded at 94 knots, which is within the acceptable range. The touchdown distance of 296 meters was also satisfactory, indicating that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft during the landing process. The touchdown speed of 84 knots was also within the acceptable limits, further emphasizing the pilot's skill and control.
However, there were a few areas for improvement. The touchdown rate of -225 feet per minute (fpm) was only fair, suggesting that the pilot could have maintained a more gradual descent. Additionally, the runway touchdown position was slightly misaligned by 3.5 meters from the centerline, which may have been due to a slight deviation in the pilot's approach or a minor issue with the aircraft's navigation system.
The local weather conditions at the time of the landing were relatively calm, with a temperature of 11°C and a wind speed of 4 knots from 340°. The crosswind component was minimal at 1 knot, while the headwind component was 4 knots, which may have contributed to the slight misalignment of the touchdown position.
Despite these minor issues, the pilot demonstrated excellent control and skill during the landing process. The total landing distance of 1,309 meters was only 36% of the runway length, indicating that the pilot had sufficient control over the aircraft to bring it to a stop quickly and safely. The runway rollout alignment was also very good, further emphasizing the pilot's skill and control.
Overall, the Beechcraft Duke's landing at UMMS Minsk National Airport was a success, with the pilot demonstrating excellent control and skill throughout the process. While there were a few areas for improvement, the pilot's overall performance was highly satisfactory, earning a score of 98.3%.
